Anyone else think the prices for the Beacon shows are WAY too high. I wanted to go to a couple of shows this year but at $75 a pop for the cheapest seat I am thinking 2 shows is all I can swing. $175 for an orchestra seat is out of control. They were $85 just a few years ago.

Presale is going on right now. General sale is on Friday.

Anyone who thinks these are normal prices can look at the Furthur prices for the Beacon and see they are charging $64 for the Upper Balcony and $85 for everything else. The Brothers could afford to do the same.

I am hoping that was sarcastic. What is higher about the production? The Allmans have a video screen that's the only difference. Once you're set up inside the Beacon it stays set up for the whole 3 weeks. It's not like they break everything down each night and set it up again.

Where you getting your orch tickets from. I paid 107.00 total for Orch tickets. And very honestly theyre not that high priced. Try going to some awful shed in the summer to see an average band and theyre at least a hundred a ticket. This is the Beacon in NYC, not **** ty Darien Lake.

Prices are high, no doubt, I couldn't find three tix in the mid-lower orchestra section, but that's probably because I was looking for mid-lower orchestra section tix. I'm sure ticketmaster doesn't allow the good people running this site the prime seats. Bummer, because there are a ton of brothers and sisters on here that would buy them if available and priced right!

First off I have lived in Brooklyn for 6 years and have been going to the Beacon for shows for a long time. This is by far the most expensive ticket I have ever paid for at the Beacon. I just think they could have cut the fans some slack. I honestly don't have a problem with the balcony prices. Those are a little high but reasonable. It's the $175 orchestra and $118 loge prices that I think are way over priced.

As for your $107 ticket I am not sure how you got an orchestra ticket for that price. Ticketmasters website shows 3 price ranges of $175, $118, and $75. Unless their site is somehow not accurate.

Guys I totally understand and tend to agree-I passed up a $170 loge for a $117 orchestra
However the truth is these guys (unfortunately) will not be playing together for much longer and i guess we cant deny them their last chance at the big bucks!

Fortunately the MOOGis option is there

cant wait for march 10!

I pulled $107 orchestra tix, also (doesn't include fees). Looks like back of orchestra (starting at row P or Q?) is lower priced.

L is the higher price, N the lower. Not sure where M falls.

Its not a big mystery. For weekday shows the row R would be $107.64 and for a weekend the same seat would be $117.89. Been selling the weekends for higher price for several years now.

Same thing every year. At some point in the near future there will be no Beacon shows. Amortize the cost over the next several years and it becomes much cheaper. Just saying go see em while u can!!!

I tend to agree with the overall sentiment. I think $170 to sit anywhere in the Loge is ridiculous. That's why I payed the $117 fee and chose to sit on the side. It's not ideal in terms of being in the center. But I'm still only 7-rows back (G row) in the Loge.

Listen, I'm a huge fan of the Brothers. And I don't mind paying to see something I enjoy. But there is still the risk that you may hear a setlist that wasn't what you hoped for. And when you're paying top dollar.. It can be a risk. But like someone else said.. How much longer do we have to enjoy the shows?

When the band got back together in 1989 I think I paid $35 a ticket....the good old days....lol.....I know as long as this band is together, and at the Beacon, I am going to ride this train till she jumps off the tracks....I gave up the loge for the balcony a few years ago to save some money, but I am still going to be there. I have seen so many magical moments from the ABB at the Beacon in the 20 plus years of the Run and look forward to a few more.....

Couldn't agree more. I was thinking the same thing as Further tickets went on sale a few weeks back. Love the Brothers but this is out of control. These ticket prices seem like scalper prices.

I travel up from Maryland, being a former New Yorker and usually go to 2 shows but it will be one this year instead. 4 tickets in Loge for $684.

Come on Brothers don't you realize we're still in a recession?

They are quite pricey this year. I've been going to the Beacon since 2003 and this year it is up there. I paid the price to get an Orchestra seat for the 16th and Lower Balcony (dead center) for St. Patrick's Day. I also think this will be one of the final years that we will be able to see the Brothers and that is why I shelled out the cash.

I'm not sure why you think that. They're selling out shows left and right, they are all still active musicians and this is their career. We've been hearing that "last chance to see them" for a long time. It'll be true one day, but who know when that'll be.

I've been going to the Beacon since 1995 and after the trouble getting tickets this year....it might be my last.

I was able to get tickets for St. Patrick's Day and the day before. Not sure why you had trouble. Referring to my comment, it is just a feeling that I, and many others, have about the longevity of the band at this point. These guys (Gregg, Butch, Jaimoe) are the best, but they have also been doing it since 1969 and they are not getting any younger. Butch has talked about the pain associated with his drumming and Gregg is doing his best to fight a horrible disease. To think that they are nearing the end, and therefore going to the shows now, may not be a bad choice. I also saw them recently in Philly and had a wonderful time and got autographs from Gregg, Jaimoe and Warren. Go to the Beacon because you still are able to do so .
