You beat me to the punch Derek. I was just about to post that.

So who is going to win? Let's take a poll and let the debate begin...

I think Gregg will win, and he will deserve to win. Derek and Warren put out fine albums, but Low Country Blues is better. It's my favorite Gregg Allman solo record ever.

Especially with esteemed producer T-Bone Burnett in his corner, I will be shocked and amazed if Gregg doesn't win in this category.

Congrats to Warren on what I believe is his first solo Grammy nomination, and Derek is becoming a yearly fixture in this category, isn't he? A strong showing by Team ABB!

This is phenomenal........three nominees from the same band for their solo work. Has this EVER happened before? Really doubt it. And I agree, Gregg should win it, but I love Warren's record, too. The Tedeschi/Trucks record didn't do it for me.

I think Man in Motion is easily the best album and should win...
But I am hoping Gregg wins.

I have all three albums of course and like all of them. In my opinion Man in Motion is by FAR the best of the three. That said, I do not consider either MIM or Revelator to be Blues albums. MIM should have been nominated in a soul or R & B category if there is such a thing. Gregg's is the only real Blues album. Then again I believe Jethro Tull won once for best metal album.

Since they did away with a crapload of categories, we have MiM in as "blues".

Personally I think Warren's album is the best of the bunch.

I also think the Grammy folks will give Gregg the nod more as a Lifetime Achievement than merit for his current work.

My vote is firmly in Warren's corner, but then I don't have a Grammy vote, so we'll see wott happens.

Three members of one band all nominated in the same category.

Wow.

Shows how messed up the Grammys are. Of the three ABB alums, only Gregg's album is a blues record. Maybe Jethro Tull will win.

Seems like a no brainer that Gregg would win. I actually think Revelator is the better album, but as some folks have pointed out, it's a stretch to call it "blues." Plus, Gregg is an icon and has been getting a ton of exposure lately. Who isn't rooting for him?

The first time I heard Low Country Blues I thought "Grammy." I had higher hopes for Revelator, but it seems too mid-tempo overall for me. Man in Motion I really like but I keep thinking "how would the Mule do this song?" But being a big fan of the faces, I really enjoy hearing Ian McLagan on MIM. But it's not blues. it's on Stax, it's a soul album. However, recently, traditional R&B and Soul have become covered by the Blues umbrella because Beyonce is now R&B. And I'm pretty sure she's never heard of Motown, Stax, or James Brown She probably thinks Cadillac Records was a real label.

Levon should win that first category with Ramble at the Ryman. That is a stellar performance. Wide River to Cross with Sam Bush and Buddy Miller will bring a tear to your eye. The horn arrangements are phenomenal throughout the whole thing.

Levon's horn players kick ass, but they can't dance like the TTB's. Maybe they should change Revelator's category to give it a fighting chance.

I don't see any of these three being in the same category but if anything TTB and WHB might be considered somewhat similar. I would put them in Soul or Rhythm and Blues. Gregg's album should win hands down in the Blues category IMO.

Since this is the category they are nominated in they should be judged against each other not against the idea of which is a truer blues album. IMO Man in Motion is by far the superior album of the three. It is a great honor, however, just to be nominated and all should be congratulated.
