Does that mean a night of Joe Cocker? I could live without that. I'm still going, but I hope it includes many other Englishmen

Neil Young tunes would be awesome. I'd love to go to Christmas jam but it's too far and costly. I'm only 100 miles from NYC. 50 bucks for parking plus 8 bucks for the Lincoln tunnel plus gas and that's it.

Yeah thats the same for me with NYE , I can do X mas jam for under $500 and its a great time, this will be my 3rd, NYE would be over well a grand ,but one of these years I will get there.
I just think they could do a better theme than this one and suprized they havn't done a Neil Young
Mulloween or NYE

Warren has played with another Englishman from that era.

think maybe Dave Mason may sit in?

Joe Cocker is not a WHB thing. Mule has done MUCH Joe Cocker including set constant "The Letter." among others. I think that Joe Cocker interpretations of classic covers is an excellent theme for MYE.

That would be cool. They have also done some Traffic covers.

The possibilities are endless really. Perhaps it will be Roger Waters. Or may be Pete T!! Heck they had the Ox on the Deep End and they have been playing a decent amount of Who stuff lately.

Joe Cocker would be great. I love that tune Out of the Rain on the Mulenium release. I think that is a Cocker tune.

That's not too hard to explain. Substitute Mule by Dog

How do you get Joe Cocker out of Mad Mules and Englishmen? Seriously you don't know the answer to that?

Maybe Leon Russell will sit in. He was a major player on that Mad Dogs + Englishmen album and tour.

excuse me?
Mad Dog & Englishmen is a 1970 album by Joe Cocker.
For me it is very obvious a lot of songs from this album will be played.

Who will sit in, if anyone, I don't know.

if in fact they plan on a similar set list to the Mad Dog & Englishmen songs, to me, that sounds more like a Warren Haynes Band style of tunes...and that's fine but...

Where's my Mule?

It's the name of one of his most famous albums.

It COULD be but I'm sure you have heard the Mule do many Joe Cocker songs. The major difference will be the sound and style of Warren's guitar playing. It will be heavier as in the Mule style. To me Cocker fits squarely into the world of rock.

They played two songs from that album at the Woodstock themed NYE show a couple of years ago, both 'Delta Lady' and 'Let's Go Get Stoned' with Dana Fuchs doing backing vocals. Maybe he will throw in some other English band songs from the time period?
