zman loves jams!!!

I know the songs never change, but just seeing a setlist is getting me pumped for Saturday night at the Orpheum.

anyone know if there is any tour/Boston poster?

...and I'm here to report that they kicked ass tonight !!!!

The second set consisted of LAFE...it all sounded fresh, exciting
and beautiful...............nothing stale about it at all.

I took my 16 yr old guitar playing son who is still shaking his head
after watching Derek and Warren tear it up.....

I'm 54 yrs old and I saw a guy that was probably in his 80's a few rows ahead of us.

I made my son promise me that he would take me to concert when I was that age...God willing.

I'm thinking that I may be among the few that
have had to write a school absence note tomorrow
saying sonething like....

"Tim's Dad took him to see the ABB in Boston last night...
..we didn't get home until 12:45am...please excuse Tim
and me ( his Dad )"

Guilded Splinters was off the hook intense. And Warren played some of the most incredible guitar work I've ever heard out of him during Rocking Horse. I can't avoid the fact that to my ears, Gregg is struggling on vocals. He missed his lines and his place a number of times. His vocals sounded to me like they were often off of the tempo of the song. He did nail Stormy Monday though. Looking forward to Eat A Peach tonight.

Great show indeed.
Definitely was a Warren night. Derek had a few moments but Warren took the show to another level.

Like the previous post stated Gregg was definitely struggling a lot with the vox. I also think he missed a few changes during his solo's. Nonetheless he was still rockin hard!

gregg has clearly become a problem because people love him and he IS the only ALLMAN in the band...that said,he no longer remembers lyrics or his place to come in or get out of a song and he is incredibly unsure up there....I know that causes people to get upset to even have it mentioned but it is true....it is more than a bit uncomfortable

I was at the show last night, 3rd row. I must say musically it was great, I for sure notice Gregg's struggles, but in the 1st set the mix was too loud, Gregg was heard better vocally in the 2nd set. He nailed Stormy Monday, and You Dont Love Me vocally no problem, the opener Cross to Bear was awesome too. I heard a few misbeats from the band but nothing to cause problems. Gregg's organ sounded unreal and Derek and Warren were amazing, and Oteil to me was shades of Victor Wooten, or Stanley Clarke. The man is so talented, fun watching him on the drums also. Marc on Liz Reed, I could just watch him the whole song. Overall, I saw nothing but happy faces and satisfied people leaving; we all know Gregg is good for the miscues, but it is not for a lack of trying that is for sure. Still one of the more enjoyable live bands out there, your mileage may vary.
Peace

Cant wait for tonight!!!

Hope to see everyone there and the sound issues should be tweaked out for the rest of the run now.

So Greg missed some cues.....I am used to the G.D. members missing everything at times.

Hope to meet up with some peach heads tonight.....Thai/sushi at Montein preshow then some cold beers at jacob Wirth preshow!!
