I saw something on this on the news this morning. The Nazi reference is just insane.

Just for the record, I think the people at FOX are nuts. "Fair and balanced" my a**...

That does not make this guy any less of a redneck.

I won't presume to judge the man but I will say that every time I've encountered him he's been a major a$$. I'm not the least surprised at this latest turn of events.

The Fox News guy on the right is even shocked. They all look uncomfortable. It reminds me of when Kanye West said GWB hates black people and Mike Myers looked like he wanted to disappear.

Really don't care at all what he thinks, haven't been the least bit interested in any of his music in the last 25 years and I'm certainly not the least bit interested in his uneducated and ridiculous opinions on politics.

This sums it up exactly for me. In the spirit of saying something nice, I do think his daddy was God's gift to country music.

AMEN...add, it did cost him the gig on Monday Night Football. (Thanks ESPN) I always hit the MUTE button during that "All my rowdy friends" B.S...... Now, if we can get NBC to dump their SNF intro.

Agreed -- the mute button is my best friend during live TV, always. While you're at it, why don'tcha try to get that stupid Big&Rich "Coming to your city" bullshyit off of the college broadcast?

Only because we did not understand it. If he explained it so that we understood it, it would not seem that way.

I just watched the entire segment of the interview......he should have been kicked to the curb for either being an outright fool or appearing under the influence of some unknown substance. What an uncomfortable thing to watch. As I said...he's always been an a$$ and evidently he still is.

Not a very good analogy but the explanation was not too bad, i.e. two guys (Boner and Obama) that probably won't see eye to eye even though they played golf together. Quite frankly, anyone who compares the President to Hitler is not very bright and doesn't no much about history. And anyone who compares Boner to a Jewish guy...also not bright!!

Deep thinker - he blamed BOTH the Three Stooges (Obama and Biden) for "the country this shape is in". Counting to three is clearly a challenge, as is making a coherent sentence.

I've never understood why ANY celebrity should/would be hunted down and asked for their opinion on politics. I don't want to hear Hank Jr.'s (or any celeb's) opinion on politics anymore than I'd want to see President Obama walk onto a stage with a guitar. In my opinion, neither are qualified in either case.

I agree with your basic point, but to paraphrase Duane Allman, you can't hurt anybody's feelings with music, and old Bocephus just demonstrated how easy it is to screw the pooch with politics.

Besides, are you SURE the prez can't play guitar?

Well, maybe a little.

My experience with Hank Jr. is that he is a dick, unfortunately. Wrote some good songs, but in person can be an assh*le. Hank III is a good guy, though, for sure, and the original Hank was the sh*t, as long as you wasn't the one picking him up off the pavement I'm guessing.

In general I agree with you. I get especially tired of going to a concert to hear a performer talk about politics for 15 minutes (regardless of if I agree with them or not). But, lots of music involves political themes as well, so I guess we shouldn't be surprised. But, if you go on Fox News I think you might be expected to talk about politics.

But, as much as I really don''t care what some random celebrity thinks, there have been a lot of celebrities that have gone into politics: Ronald Reagan, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sonny Bono, Steve Largent, Jesse Ventura to name just a few. As long as they keep getting elected, then people are going to still going to ask celebrities about politics.

The question that begs an answer is why anyone put him on the show to begin with? Was he promoting a new album or movie or something? The last person I'd put on a live show would be Jr. Don't those people do any background on who they put in front of a mic?
