About 3 years ago at the HOB in New Orleans. Hated it. Sub par Stevie Wonder warblings. Left halfway through to go and watch a covers band on Bourbon St. The excellent Indigenous opened so it wasn't a complete waste of $40 ____________________ You get SOMETHING out of it every night!- Mike "Pickles" Hale

I saw him once years ago and he was great. Opened for Blues Traveler in Utica, NY back in maybe 1998 or '97. |

He was fabulous at the 2010 Crossroads festival. ____________________ "Capitalism is the extraordinary belief that the nastiest of men for the nastiest of motives will somehow work for the benefit of all". John Maynard Keynes |

Word. Have seen him previously (before Crossroads) and he put on a great show then, too. Had not heard that he'd gone gospel. ____________________ "Come on down to the Mermaid Cafe and I will buy you a bottle of wine, and we'll laugh and toast to nothing and smash our empty glasses down..." |

Ditto--saw him live a few years back and he was ok,not great....
But,he was unbelievably excellent in crossroads 3--I felt he was in a tough position with Buddy Guy on the same stage, but he really jumped in strong....
Or did he just look better because the guitar player who used to be Ronnie Wood was on stage too?

Just read a couple of weeks ago that he's playing in a supergroup called The M.O.B. with Mick Fleetwood, John McVie & Steven Tyler. They recorded a version of "Sharp Dressed Man" for an upcoming ZZ Top Tribute album. |
