It took me a while to enjoy his playing but he has started to "grow" on me.

Not only he is a great player and singer, he's a great guy! I'll never forget the night at Wanee in 2010 when he'd just finished sitting in with The Brothers, and ends up sitting in the campfire circle at Helen's Hilton hanging out with all of us.

He's great. I saw him live with Jaimoe's Jasssz Band (my first introduction
to his playing) and he blew me away. If you have the Jaimoe's Jasssz Band
CD, "Ed Blackwell Memorial Concert - 02/27/2008," listen to his playing on
Coltrane's "Impressions." He's rippin' it up!

In addition to his sit-ins with the ABB I got to see him join the Peacheaters for a couple of numbers at a pre-show in Boston last November. Always enjoyed every time I saw him play, got a real good taste at the pre-show. Enjoyed it a lot. Jacquie sums it up perfectly. Real nice guy who likes hanging with the fans. He's got a regular gig at a place on Bleeker St. in NYC. Does he have any CD's available? Can't seem to find anything.

Good player, vocalist , & writer. Check out the videos on Jaimoe's site. When the Bros. were in NY this past March, he sat in with Boyer & Talton for an acoustic set at The Iridium - several videos on Youtube are available.

Here's a nice tune Jr. wrote & performed with Jaimoe's band. This is real tasty tune.

Excellent player, soul filled singing pipes, and a very nice guy. A couple of summers ago when he opened for Gov't Mule with Jaimoe's band at Ives in Connecticut his car broke down on the way there. He barely made the gig but put on a great show. I was there with someone who knew him and was able to offer him and his guitar and amp a ride back to NYC after the show. Was a pleasure to be able to chat with him about music and such on that ride home. Very down to earth dude!

Not real familiar with his playing, but I already like him from all the great comments about him being down to earth and one of the people. Recommend a CD someone, so I can support this gentleman.

A real sweetheart, and great guitar player as well. I've always been impressed with his abilities whenever I've seen him play...

The fact that he hangs around Helen's is just icing on the cake!

Jr. Mack is the real deal! Great guitarist, and he plays many different styles so well that he would fit into any band.

The only thing bigger than his talent is his heart....he loves the fans, and we love him.

Great guitar player, great singer, one of the nicest, most down to earth people you will ever meet. I have had the priviledge of sitting at the table and eating with him and others at the H and also Helen's Hilton. The first time I actually talked with him was at BB Kings at the after party when Lefty was playing. JJB had played the pre-party that day. Just a super super nice cat - with exceptional taste and talent.

Besides his ABB sit-ins, I've seen him play a few times at Terra Blues on Bleeker St. Whenever I'm in NYC, I check their schedule to see if he might be playing. Good stuff!

Ill tell you what I think of Junior's playing, I was so impressed with Junior from the first, I gave one of the LIVE GABBA fest recordings of Junior , must have been 2002 or 2003 ? to Floyd and Gregg and raved about how great he was, give him a listen...this may have been shortly after Floyd had lost his great slide guitar player, Ace Mooreland , I believe to cancer, thought it might get Junior a shot

Glad he is making it bigger and badder..
Not only a great player, a sweetheart as well!
