The recent pairing got me thinking about connections between the ABB and CSN/Y (in its various permutations). The only one I could think of was that Stills has recorded "Midnight Rider" on a solo album, and that CSN has also been playing it recently in concert.

Has there ever been any sit-ins before? Sorry if this has already been brought up!

Okay, just a fantasy line-up but wouldn't this be cool (since good old Neil most of the time wants to tour on is own):

CSN&H (Crosby,Stills, Nash & Haynes)

I was at the Crack Down benefit at MSG on Oct 31 1987 when the bill was ABB, CSN, Santana, Ruben Blades, Run DMC & Olatungi (?).

There was a jam at the end featuring ABB with Carlos Santana, CSN etc.

I was unaware that a version of the ABB even existed in '87. Who was in that line up?

I just remembered that the first Manassas album is dedicated to Duane, Jimi, and Al "Blind Owl" Wilson.

Saw that show as well--I believe it was broadcast on radio too....not the best show--seems like some of the performers were relying on the crack to stamp out the crack

This is from one of the best interviews that Gregg has ever given. It was from a short lived TV show that Graham hosted. I don't know what it was called, but Gregg was clean at the time, funny, engaging, entertaining, etc. and Graham was pretty cool to.

They were to play a two-night stand together at
the LA Coliseum during the summer of 1974.......
until Phil Walden pulled the plug.

Oh - I remember watching that. Great interview with audience Q+A, Jerry Rice asking one of the questions.

Stills recorded "Midnight Rider" for his Thoroughfare Gap album in '78.

Not the best version, but a version nonetheless.
