Steve Miller's 'Circle of Love' for me. I love it, especially the side long 'Macho City' .It's always dismissed as lazy or one of his poorest efforts especially that track.

"Kiss Alive" was certainly despised by many critics and music lovers, but I think it really rocks. One of my favorite albums.

Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow in general never got the credit they deserved.

The Who's 2 Kenny Jones albums are not up to the standard of their late 60s/early 70s classics, but I got those albums as I was getting into music, so I developed a real love for them. They join the list of records that are certainly awkward or eccentric but lovable once you "get" them (here I include the solo work of many members of successful bands, such as that of Mick Taylor, Steve Hackett, John Entwistle, etc).

I really enjoy the post-Blackmore albums by Deep Purple (as well as 1976's "Come Taste The Band"), though many hardcore Purple/Blackmore fans despise them.

Many Stones fans thought that the albums right after "Exile on Main Street" (Goat's Head, It's Only R & R, and Black & Blue) were disappointments after the Stones' AMAZING streak of Beggar's Banquet > Let It Bleed > Ya-Ya's > Sticky Fingers > Exile, but I love every Stones album of the 1970s.

One Man Dog by James Taylor.

I think it's a brilliant album, but critics dismiss it pretty harshly.

I love some albums in spite of the fact that they're a train wreck. The Soft Parade by the Doors comes to mind.

B-hawk, you move to the next round: how do you feel about "Caress of Steel" and "Hold Your Fire"?

Bastille Day and The Necromancer are still on my playlists!

Force Ten, Time Stand Still, Second Nature, Prime Mover and Mission, I love. Turn The Page is one of Geddy's best basslines ever. Tai Shan, however, may be the original Epic Fail.

Yes they both rock!

We saw this band's tour from the third row in the Carrier Dome, Bruce came right out above us on the ramp and rained sweat on us.

Allman & Woman. Seriously. I think there are some good songs on it.

Also the Hour Glass releases get panned quite a bit but I like them.

I didn't know Lucky Town & Human Touch are not appreciated. I probably could have made one great album out of the two, but I like them. And the tour smoked. Check out the MTV Plugged CD & DVD.

Not sure I'd go quite so far to say that I love all of these, but I am very fond;

Grateful Dead - Go To Heaven
Bob Weir - Heaven Help The Fool
Walter Wolfman Washington - Sada
Butterfield Blues Band - Live

Although plenty of the regulars on this fine forum have showed their appreciaton for the ABB's "Enlightend Rogues" album it's elsewere often undeservedly lumped together with the 2 Arista releases that were far inferior.

Oh, and as not ABB related release: the critics and the band "Heart" themselves panned their "Magazine" album but i really like it. Ann Wilson blows me away.

I just knew someone would go with Allman & Woman!! I agree with Black & Blue + Lucky Town & Human Touch, they were also on my list. I'd also throw in the Zep film soundtrack, 'The Song Remains The Same'. I played it incessantly when it came out yet all the critics slated it. And to keep things Allman, I was suprised how little credit 'Searching For Simplicity' was given then & since, best thing since Laid Back/G.A. Tour IMO

I too love the Jefferson Airplane album Bark; grew up with it. Third Week In The Chelsea and When The Earth Moves Again are great songs!
