I got an email message from Ticket Master this morning that Chris Robinson tix's for the Indy show go on sale tomorrow. I knew he was playing some shows out west, but I had no idea he was touring the US, could be interesting. Does he have new material? I just know of his last two solo albums so I am assuming he will be playing tunes from that, covers and maybe he is writing stuff, I am nor sure. I saw him open for the ABB back in 2004. it was pretty good. I wonder who is in his touring band. Audley Freed was with him last time which was pretty cool, I like him, very good guitar player. If he is involved I maybe more apt to go.

this is the extent of the website:

I'll probably check out the Bham show. Like most things Robinson, it'll either rock or suck.

The Chicago show is going to be at Lincoln Hall......an AWESOME new venue. It's really small too, should be a cool show. I've heard great reviews of this band.....very Deadesque from what I"m told.

Thanks for the heads up on the Chicago show jparadise. Surprised he's playing such a small place! That is going to rock.

I'm heading home to Detroit to see the show with The J Geils Band in August. Should be amazing.

Wish he was coming around Boston without J Geils. Want to see him but definitly not for J Geils band prices.

Thanks for the link. I figured he and the rest of the band would take a break for awhile.
They have been hitting the road pretty hard the last 5 yrs or so.
I wonder if Rich will do anything. I really liked his solo releases and I am a big fan
of his guitar work. Very raw and organic sounding.

as jim noted, the Chris Robinson band will be opening for the J. Geils Band at the Ives Center in Danbury CT. It's worth the drive for folks in NY, NJ, or CT - great venue and one heck of a double bill.

I've been listening to a recent bootleg of a show his with his band the Brotherhood. Quite good - lots of Dead, Dylan and Chris' soulful passionate singing.

I'd have to agree with that from what I heard on 5/17.......very Deadesque and quite good. Really enjoyed it.
