I have agreed to see The Monkees in concert with my wife at the Beacon. "Forgive me lord; I know not what I do"

Jon, I once took a free-lance gig as a cameraman on one of those C&W line-dance TV shows. I figured I was doing the world a favor - if more people realized how silly they looked - there'd be a lot fewer people doin' it!

The Monkees? Is Nesbith gonna be there? Are they going to let him (and Tork) actually play guitar? Could be a good show! They had some good pop hits in the day.

Each to their own - Having been brought up with Dad being a Big Band and crooner fan, I love TB. Saw him in 2000 and he was superb and The Ralph Sharon Trio had one of the best drummers I've ever seen.

You're a good man. My husband is a good sport and goes to a lot of shows with me. I once went to WWF wrestling with him in the early 90's. I considered that to be the most love I could possibly display. I'm still emotionally scarred.

this is my payback for being allowed to cancel dinner plans with our friends and going to the 40th Fillmore show; unfortunately I won't get a future pass out for this one.

No, Nesmith won't be their nfortunately. His step-mom invented white out then croaked and he is worth a fortune. Actually went on to become a decent producer.

I Love Tony Bennet too...think that whole era of musicians are pretty cool especially Dean martin and Frank Sinatra, they were quite the Outlaws back in day. I used to Love the Dean Martin show.... Most genres of music were great until we hit the DISCO era. uuuuugggghhhh! Then it was hit or miss with most "music" after that!

emr.......you're a good man! take some earplugs

I saw Sinatra in concert at Caesers Palace Las Vegas in 1981. Some drunk threw a drink on him; bad decision. Two guys without necks carried him out and they probably are still looking for him. Good show, however.

I think it would be fun to see the Monkees, kind of like going to the circus.

I Love Tony Bennet also. My dad used to sing many of his songs to me. I played Tony Bennett songs most of the evening on April 30 - it would have been my dad's 90th birthday.

Come on Bob, admit it, it was not that bad.

I saw Dolly about 10 yrs ago and enjoyed it. Granted, it was at Merlefest and I was there to see other groups, and she was backed by Jerry Douglas, Sammy Bush and Chris Thile, but she was fun.

And funny. Talked about her large number of siblings and her momma ("she always had one on her and one in her!"). She's a real mountain girl, and that's not a bad thing at all.

I got you all beat.

If you are drinking a Coke or water or something, swallow it before you read the next line.

I took my wife and went with another couple to see Michael Bolton and Celine Dion in ATL many years ago....mid 90's?

Nesmith and Peter Tork were actually good musicians that played for years before the Monkees.....Mickey Dolenz and Davey Jones were child actors. Mickey Dolenz played in some late 50's or eraly 60's TV show. I think it would be fun to go and see them for the few hits they had....Last train, I'm a believer, Plesant valley Sunday....Ok hopefully those would be the first three then I could leave before they get to "Mary Mary"
