Today's headline "John Edwards indicted by Federal Grand Jury".
George W. Bush, Dick Cheney and Barack Obama are all guilty of war crimes, and corruption at every level involving the Wall St. banksters bailout (all of whom are guilty of all kinds of fraud themselves but have never been charged with any crime). But who does gets indited? The one true liberal who was a serious candidate for Democratic nominee last election. The one who spoke of the two Americas, the very rich and the poor and wanted to level the playing field in that regard. It looks like the rich won't have to worry about him ever running again. Why? Because he cheated on his wife.
Really, you just have to laugh.

I thought he was being indicted for misusing campaign funds?

I'm laughing - I've thought the guy was nothing more than fraud from day one. Hope he gets what he deserves.

Personally, I just don't like that little sawed-off, $400 haircut piece of crap. I just find him creepy.

I learned a hard lesson with Edwards. I was going to caucus for Edwards to be the Democrat nominee for President. But I was too sick that January day to go do it. Obama got the nomination at the caucus I missed, which was OK with me. My brother told me he wouldn't vote for any one needing a $400 haircut. I tried to look past that hair-cut thing. I should have listened to my brother.

what a douche-bag slime ball liar Edwards turned out to be. I could hardly believe it when the news broke on his mistress and love child.

Yes, we should elect more people who use the lowest possible form of vote pandering (Govt can help make your life better! Even better than you could manage for yourself!!) and don't have enough character to be faithful and honest to the one relationship they publicly vow to love, cherish, and remain true to.

Yup, that's the sort of folks that will never fail the citizens, never lie, never distort, will always act selflessly, and can always be counted on. That's the foundation for the public service angels we desperately need!

What a hoot!

It's good to see you people have your priorities in order. An expensive haircut or cheating on your spouse is worse that starting and expanding wars that kill millions of innocent people or robbing you and your fellow Americans of their homes and retirement savings. The corporate govt media can't fool you guys, you're just too damn smart.

Why don't you try rebutting just one of the comments made? You can start by answering my question.

I'm not an attorney and I don't happen to know the names of the criminals on Wall St. It is a fact however that they committed fraud with their loaning tactics, among other things.

The mortgage guys made the loans, not Wall Street guys. If you don't know what the laws are, how can you possibly know if any were broken?

I say this with all sincerity...Rather than just relying on your emotions, why don't you actually read up on this so you can speak to it intelligently?

Michael Moore's movie "Capitalism" explains the crimes Wall St. commited. I'm not going to discuss Mr. Moore with you.

I'm not rich but I'm damn sure not poor and don't feel it necessary to just to give away something that I've earned. Level playing is akin to giving everyone a trophy for participation but in the above view some will be rewarded for doing nothing.

I can only assume you won't because you're incapable of doing so. Doesn't make for much of a discussion. The thread did make me laugh though, so you have that going for you.

JFK didn't ask people to believe that govt could make their lives better. Here's the portion of that famous speech...

"And so, my fellow Americans: ask not what your country can do for you - ask what you can do for your country.

My fellow citizens of the world: ask not what America will do for you, but what together we can do for the freedom of man."

JFK was downright libertarian compared to most modern Democrats.

If you're going to pose an example to support your point, at least have a fundemental understanding of person you're using to make said point.

In that speech he also vowed to "at least begin" to put and end to war and poverty. As President why would he say that if he didn't think the gov't he was head of could be the means to do so? Right wingers also try to paint Dr. King as a conservative by a selective quotation, so read the whole innaugral speech, that one qoute is a just tiny part.
