I'll bet that rich, Wall Street bastard Jim is going...

Be careful he doesn't run you over with his limo outside the venue.

Looking forward to it - always a good time! Anyone know if there will be an opening band?

Peace!

I really thought since the Rad's are retiring that this would be he year they would Finally play Mountain Jam . Considering their close ties to Warren it only seemed a natural. And I really thought they deserved a nice send off from a N.Y. crowd of over 10.000 that would certainly give them the love they deserve for a great set of music . Everyone enjoy their last NYC go round with "The Greatest Bar Band in the World !"

I will be there, and maybe we might even let Brendan stop by for a drink, or swim in the back of the car. I am headed to the Bull Moose Saloon down the block before the show (44th between 8th and 9th, closer to 9th). Getting out of work early too. Ya know, when you print money like me, you can leave anytime you want!! We can hop in my limo below at the Bull Moose and then we will be at the Best Buy; don't even have to move the car. It saves on gas. And please, make way for the damn car when my driver pulls up. I would hate for you to have to miss the last Rads NYC show. We've run over people for less.

Incidentally, I saw them a few weeks ago during the first weekend of Jazzfest in NOLA. They are on fire right now. Perhaps because it's their last tour, but they were cookin'!! Can't wait for tomorrow. I will be disappointed to see them go. They and the ABB are my favorite. They always give you your moeny's worth...and being the rich, wall street geezer that I am, I like my money's worth!!

Y'all are invited to the Rads last outdoor show on Saturday at the Crawfish Fest, in Augusta NJ. All you city guys who don't have limos can hop on a bus at the Port Authority... see the fest website for details:

http://www.crawfishfest.com/NYC_Bus.htm

Too bad they scheduled the rads to overlap Sonny Landreth.

Jim, we all know you're more Christopher Street than Wall Street

I think we'll be there in force tomorrow night. Like the old Iriving Plaza shows about 10-15 years ago. What a good time. Can't believe the Rads are hanging it up. Lots of shows from earlier in the year are up on Archive.org. Check em out. Jim is right, they are sounding better than ever right now.

I am probably going to get out like 3pm tomorrow. Bankers hours don't ya know!! I am down at the World Financial Center. So I should be able to make it up there in about 25-30 minutes. Let's say 3:15. OH wait, my math is off.

Join us for a drink, or 37?

Hey Palm, the Bull Moose is actually about a block and a half from the Best Buy, on 44th between 8th and 9th, if you have time to stop by. We have a big crew coming. Our buddy owns the place. We will make it work either way.

Ken, when I saw them in NOLA a few weeks ago, they gave us a Mountain Jam on the Saturday night show, and it sounded phenomenal. The guy behind me leaned over and said, "What did we do to deserve this?" I said, "well, my behavior has been so poor the past few days here, I certainly did nothing to deserve it!!"

Excellent, we have about 10-15 as well. We can really make a scene!! As I said to Rubba, I am about 6'3", am skinny, yet fat at the same time, have short dark hair and will be wearing my concert regalia, i.e., summery green shirt, with cargo shorts, and running sneakers, in case I have to run, or dance for my life. If we don't see you before the show, we will see you there.

Wonder if its going to be a packed house? There are still tickets available I think.

yeah, yeah, I was late in getting to the bar. I apologize. It was nice to finally meet some of the folks, namely Brendan and Rubba.

Show was great, but bittersweet, as it was the last time we will ever get to see them. They let it all hang out as usual.

This was a highlight for me, when they came out for the encore, and did this little diddy. Vintage Rads and Volker.

This too is always one of my favorites, Where Was You At:

Thank you Radiators for decades of great music. You will be missed.

Hey Jim , I love that story but I was talking about Mountain Jam The Festival not Mountain Jam the song ! I'm liftside at Hunter Mounain so for obvious reasons I've attended every Mountain Jam there. With Crawfish fest & Mountain Jam (The Festival ) on the same weekend I always figured at some point the Rads who were headliners at Crawfish many times over the years and with Mountain Jam (The Festival ) just a few hours up the road it just seemed to make sense that the Rads might do both festivals some year. Sadly that's never going to be ........
