The Wall Street Journal Interviewed Donald Trump regarding his possible run for the 2012 Presidency. He says he will let everyone know before June. Very interesting interview.

Politics is getting stranger by the day. If he runs, I can only hope he'll pick that twit Palin to run as his vice-president. She has a concession speech all ready to go.

I was discussing whether Trump will run w/ someone in my ofc this week. She said he would, I said no. We made a bet and I gave her 5:1 odds. Trump likes attention, but will not take on the heavy lifting of a campaign.

just another example of the media making people famous across all boundaries. People (Trump, the Kardashians) are famous just for being famous and considered experts in fields they know nothing about. How many times has Trump gone bankrupt? His dad was an honerable man who built the business from scratch. Trump is the Don King of builders.

Like Obama or don't like him; his rise from nowhere was media driven and couldn't happen in the old days when you had to make acareer out of something to be successful at it.

I think you'll win that one, Brock. He loves attention and self-promotion, and he's having a lot of fun right now, but that's as far as it will go. Well, he may run just to prolong the moment, but if he gets the sense that he may win the nomination he'll drop out quick. I guess if that happens you lose the bet.

Obama needs trump. So he will run, he just won't try to win, just look at his birther rants. They need to split the Republican vote and this is going to be their best chance to do it. Trump is clearly in the "club" and they need his help to get Obama re-elected. Of course, they will own all 3 major candidates and you just can't lose when you own all the horses in the race.

As he mentioned in the interview he personally was not bankrupt, he filed bankruptcy status on some of his companies, but that's a business thing. Somebody previously said he could not run for President because he had filed bankruptcy, so this has to be noted. It was only the companies that filed as bankrupt.

He has business contacts all over the world because he has projects everywhere. My concern was when I heard his views on Iraq, that we need to take the oil because there is profit and that the only reason he would go into Libya would be for the oil, the humanitarian reasons were not compelling for him.

On the plus side he really does not want to be involved in the affairs of other countries, with the nationbuilding concept that other leaders have.

I have recently learned he has some issues with Muslims, but if he became President he would have to deal with the Saudis if only for oil reasons (lower the price at the pump for Americans), and that means an opportunity for him to learn about Islam. He seems willing to learn, he incorporated Feng Shui into his properties. Most NYC businessmen wouldn't care about Feng Shui, but he was open to it. His motivation might have been it would create more profit, but I think if he learned about Islamic finance, he might bring some good changes to an ailing economy.

Last comment is an example of what ails us. Trump sets up a corporation for every project; the ones that work he keeps the cash. The ones that fail we pick up the "bankruptcy." Nice work if you can get it. As always, big business has its' own set of rules

I had a hard time focusing on what he was saying because I was laughing so hard! He is definitely in campaign mode ... lol - you could see him reminding himself to speak to the camera's instead of the interviewer and he just seemed so darned pleased with himself. Between that performance and Trudeau's current Doonesbury plot-line (and comic art ... that hair!) and imagining him engaged with some foreign dignitary it just got me to laughing

If true, these statements should show anyone with any intelligence just how serious he is about running the gov't. That is to say, not at all. Unless, of course, he intends on filing for bankruptcy protection for the federal gov't.
