Great list and thanks for all the great reviews during the run.

I have to say I like the Into the Mystic as the encore on 3/25 better than the 3/21 version. Love the juke horns but Derek is really painting some real great pictures in the spots the horns would be in on 3/25. Also the jam at the end sounds like it's based on the riff or a theme from another song that I can't place. Anyone know what it is ?

I wasn't at the show but the download of this encore came on my Ipod this morning right as my train was heading into the tunnel that crosses the east river. Warren did the " C'mon New York City, Now" as I was checking out the skyline. Stopped me in my tracks. Just awesome.

I like a mellow encore now and then. What a great choice. I liked when the Dead would play Brokedown palace at the end of a multi night run at a venue. It had you leaving in a mellow mood rather than amped up. I love One Way Out but I think it would be cool as a first set closer rather than an encore at this point. Just an opinion. I think this run was fantastic. Time and the tapes will tell if I like it better than 09 but right now, I do.

Well said.

This run had it's highlights for sure, but '09 and '06 were better as a total body of work. Not even close, IMO. Having said that - the "worst" Beacon Run is better than anything else out there. Cheers to 2012.

Great list. Went to several shows this run and I agree with many of the moments, esp 1st set of LAFE night. One little nitpick....#6 on final night, Little Martha turned into a scorching Whipping Post. Jessica was last song of 2nd set (also en fuego). I can't imagine watching all thirteen shows and trying to keep track.

Thanks for the kind words guys. And thanks for the correction on the final night encore. Guess I was a bit too sleepy when I was finishing up the list! LOL. I do agree 2009 may never be topped, but 2011 was really fun. I enjoyed every minute of it! :-)
