Was watching this just now:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MquKxlcoJZw&feature=related

My favorite part comes before they even get into the song (and of course it's a sweet version). It's the introductions.

Gregg introduces Johnny Neel, and Allen Woody. Applause begins and continues throughout.
Dickey introduces Butch Trucks, warmly. Smiles all around. The camera catches a nice one from the freight train himself.
Gregg intros Jaimoe.
Dickey intros "a good man right here... Warren Haynes", and then Gregory gives us "another good man here, Mr. Dickey Betts!" Dickey returns the intro for Gregg and there are friendly arm pats each way. More smiles.

It's just good stuff. I love the ABB -- every lineup I've ever seen or heard. Thank goodness for 'em.

Me too. Just wore my Eat a Peach shirt from the 1990 Seven Turns tour yesterday...under my suit. Can't believe it hasn't fallen apart yet, but it is American made!!

man that is as sweet as your mother-in laws love....much to be said, but BDOB summed it up pretty good "bittersweet". Very nice post.

So maybe "sweet" was an odd choice of words, but you know what I mean.

COOL moment from '90?

REVIVAL at Lakewood is right DanB. I'd chalked up ABB as someone I might not get to see, and then back they came. the Uga undergrads made a great showing for those shows each year. man were we pumped to FINALLY get the throw down and party with the ABB! good times. i'm so glad that we have been able to listen to them for 20+more years!!!!! we are indeed lucky to get what we get.

gimme one more Lakewood show!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
