That was very nicely put Al. I could not agree more. And it IS nice to have a calming presence.

Sometimes less is more Alan.

That's why I liked the individual bands better than T&T

T&T? who is that?

I've got it! T&A! That ought to turn some heads!
No?
Ok, calming presence on the way. ....

Wait a minute, since we've been on a 3 letter kick today, how about TBD?
No?
Ok, calming presence then.

I kinda like the T&A concept, but that leaves Derek with only one option.

Grace Potter opened up for the DTB a bunch of years ago in Ridgefield, then sat in at the end of the DTB set for Spirit in the Dark. She was up-stage shakin' it while Derek and Smallie were both smiling from behind. Is that what you mean? Of course those were the days when Grace wore jeans and flannels.

Did anybody receive the newsletter email with "Bound For Glory" yet?

I heard that on Friday that they were making the final edits to the song and it should be up any day now....

I believe the Woody Guthrie bio was called "Bound for Glory" - any connection?

Also, has anyone heard the new song "Don't Let Me Slide"? I'm just wondering if it might be a slide-heavy instrumental or something like that.

I don't know about the Woody Guthrie connection, Mike Mattison wrote this version of "Bound For Glory".

I'm uploading "Don't let me Slide" from 12/29 right now so you can hear it. Awesome new song, great horn section....Derek doesn't even have a solo on this live version. I don't know about the album version but maybe they thought people would be expecting a slide solo so it would sound cliche' haha i don't know. I think it's one of my favorite new ones, the chorus is pretty sweet.

Here we go....

I just received the email with the download for Bound For Glory. The song sounds great. Susan's voice is right up front, loud and clear. The horns add a nice touch also. This cd is gonna be a keeper for sure.
