Karl Denson was excellent this past year. I also thought the Jayhawks weren't bad back in 96-97 or so.

I also agree.
I have a few acoustic Warren solo shows and I'd like to see him play on an acoustic guitar sometime.

I hope that ABB gets a chance to hear The Sulentic Brothers Band from South Bend Indiana. This would be a Great Act to kick off a night of Guitar Jamming music.

I really like Galactica's set when they opened for the Brothers in 2002.

Has anybody ever heard music by the Aussie band Whipping Post? HTN ran an article on them by Jill Howland several years ago -- I have two of their discs, and they're great. The name obviously implies who their influence is, but these guys have their own sound, and if they ever came to America it would be way cool to see them be an opener.

The Band Indigenous would be a great opening act. Sound like Jimi Hendrix, SRV, Buddy Guy hybrid.

Heard them on local radio sunday morning. I liked their sound. They're playing 2/11/04 Syracuse NY, opening for OAR.

I caught the original lineup of Wett Wiliie last year and they still brought it! They would make a great opener for the Brothers.

3. North Mississippi Allstars
4. Robert Randolph

Just my 2 cents

I think NMAS have only opened one show for the ABB, which was two summers ago. They'd certainly make a great opener for the whole tour. Luther Dickinson is amazing. I caught them a few nights ago and they put on a great show.

Some others:

Los Lobos. A great 3-man power trio from Texas that really tear things up.

Chris Robinson. He opened for the Mule last fall and his band is excellent.

Marcia Ball-she kicks ass and maybe would attract a few more females in the audience. I love the Brothers but they tend to be sausage fests.

Shemeika Copeland. She can really sing the blues and has a nice band. She is the daughter of Johnny Copeland. The blues and ABB go well together!

Floyd Miles tours with Gregg Allman and Friends, recently opened for B.B. King and rocked the house. If you want to hear a "family band" trade your Robert Randolf tickets and go to a Floyd Miles show.

No offence, Robert....
