So tell me, who does one contact to get a band to play there?

I think Tony Tyler and his band should be at Wanee this year.

Can anyone say who to contact?

Thanks.

Does anyone know????

Or is Wanee all locked up with the key thrown away?

Cause I think the Allman community and Wanee can use some more good up and coming bands and artists.

I like what Tony Tyler and Matt (blanking on his last name from Florida) are doing and I would love to see them playing the circuit.

I guess what I am saying is expand the community/family. It keeps things fresh and alive and into the future.

Tony's on FB and hangs around here some. Shame he never got passed the midnight jams.

Matt Grondin.

10/16/2010

Wow, finally an update! So much going on with my life. Getting married, building a studio, producing a few records. For now, Matt Grondin the original artist is on the backburner, except for select gigs when my Snarky Puppy compatriots are in close proximity and we can throw something together. I'm going to be focusing mainly on freelancing, session work, producing, and engineering, which will tie very nicely into my first big business venture, an analog, old-school recording studio I'm building to serve the New Orleans area. It's gonna be hot, stay tuned!

Yeah well that can change. I think he is worth a look/listen. He has a new cd out.

I'm Your Radio. (turn me on) Catchy tune from his new cd. I like the new addition to the band. :-) Esp, on violin. I dig chicks in rock and roll bands. She has a good voice too. Wonder what her name is?

Who wrote this? I was intrigued when I saw the post because I thought it was a great old Joni tune being referred to (You Turn Me On I'm Your Radio)

Hey guys. The new fiddle player is called Dani Jaye and she has spun the group into a new realm of music. The "Under The Lights" album is ok I guess but we were trying to go in a more pop direction, which quickly dissipated. With the addition of Dani on guitar/fiddle/vocals and James Varnado from Dickys band on drums, we are soon dropping The Tony Tyler Band in favor of a more group orented moniker. Think if Marshall Tucker, Wet Willie, The Avett Brothers, Dave Mathews and Mule had a child. That's the direction Come Back Alice (formally TTB) will be headed in. We start work on a new album at Namaste Studios in Atlanta next month full of real, rootsy, catchy music. I'm Your Radio is a song from writer Jack Keith in Macon. He is a former bass player with my dads group Midnight Bluez and I have loved the song since I was a kid. Jack is in bad health and with his blessing I told him I wanted to try and take the song somewhere if I could. Its too great of a tune not to get out there I think. God bless y'all and I hope my family here enjoys Come Back Alice. We play for you.

Ha ha ha. Pop is like that. Quickly dissipates. LOL. A few pop style numbers are good to have in your song book. Dani Jaye. Nice. No matter the name of the band, it's about the music. Come Back Alice works. The Tony Tyler Band works too. Don't be worried to keep yourself out front. The world loves a talented and cute front man. (Or woman.) I tend to like blues rock and rock and some pop if it is catchy as all hell. You're young. You have a good voice. Keep on playing the guitar and writing and performing. You should be performing at Wanee. Ok not right before the ABB but at least on the bill. :-)

Thanks for the response, Tony! Agree - it's a good song and enjoyed that clip.

Heyy thanks lolasdeb. Some of my fondest memories is of hearing my dads old bands rehearsing when I was a wee lad. That tune in particular. Just firmed up the plans for the next album. I really can't wait to see what y'all think. As I've said before the people at HTW are very dear to me and the opinions of the people here are very valuable to what we are trying to do. Y'all seen Festaval Express? That was an inspiring film. No BS or ego. Just picking guitars and making music.
