I write for American Blues News, an up and coming online blues magazine. We have many interviews, reviews, articles and exclusives. This week we have twice daily updates from the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, TN.

We have been going for a little over a year and we are steadily growing. We're hoping to have over 12,000 individual visitors this month. I have been involved since October and I'm thrilled to be a part of this growing website. So far, for all of us, it has been a labor of love. We do not get paid. We get access to shows and promotional materials which is wonderful but most of the time our work costs us money for travel etc. We are doing this because we are fans and want to spread awareness of blues music and artists. We do, of course, one day hope to generate revenue. It is an investment of our personal and combined resources and we are proud of our achievements.

Please check out the website at http://www.ameriblues.com or "Like" us on Facebook @ http://www.facebook.com/pages/American-Blues-News/263694394541?ref=ts

Thanks for you support and interest. There is a lot to look at and read so please browse away!

@lefty - Unfortunately for me I am not in Memphis. We have 3 people there covering it though. Otherwise i would definitely come by. Good luck! Do you have a website? If so send me your link and I should be able to add it under 2011 IBC bands

WOW the INternational Blues Challenege every year we go showcases the most amazing musical talent.

We were so happy to see the Lefty Collins Band set last the old daisy and lefty and the band tore it up, it was so good before you knew the judges were holding up the sign 2 minutes left BRAVO Lefty. I am uploading a vid right now and will post for you all later.

It was also cool running into the EVIL one on beale he played a late night jam at the ole juke joint hall..more to come as tonight is the semi finals and its gonna get good.
