Last night I went to a sneak screening of "Big Fish", the new Tim Burton flick. About 3/4 of the way through the film, "Ramblin' Man" is used in the sound track. Making this an even more ABB-related phenomenon is that Billy Cruddup was in the movie. He played the Dickey-esque character in "Almost Famous".

"Big Fish" is pretty decent, too. It's about an old guy from Alabama who tells tall tales (imagine that).

Cool. Besides this one and the Excorcist, has an ABB song ever been in any other flicks?

I saw the movie last night at the Birmingham/Hoover Galleria Cineplex (Carmike chain). I got the passes at a local CD store (Laser's Edge) when I bought a couple of discs this past weekend.

Yeah. That's about right. One side looked like a small poster/advertisement. We've gotten lucky with a few of these things. We got to see "the Ring" at a sneak also. The theaters are usually packed at these things, which is good because seeing a movie in an empty theater really takes some of the fun out of the experience.

I don't know if you'd call it a "major" city, but I live just outside of Birmingham, AL (in a once unincorporated area known as Cahaba Heights, -now a part of the city of Vestavia Hills). Atlanta is the nearest metropolis.

"Dazed and Confused" was on Comedy Central last week.

Ramblin' man was in it also.

Peace
John
