I am NOT happy about Devon's time slot. He deserves to at LEAST be on Thursday or Friday, at either stage. There won't be a lot of folks there for his set on Wednesday.

I'm just anxious to see more of a line up..........

I enjoyed his warm up as much as his performance last year. He's been working.

Yeah, he's improved as a guitarist, as a singer, as a human being. He's got a great new record out and it baffles me why they put him on the Wednesday time slot.

Steve Miller Band on Saturday.

JJ Grey & Mofro are playing St. Augustine, FL on Saturday, so a possibility. Boz Scaggs plays Clearwater, FL on Thursday so another possibility.

Steve Miller ?

Tired acts tend to play gigs a short hop up I-75 at Wild Adventures Theme Park . Guess they couldn't book him after they paid Foreigner , Styx , "Skynyrd" and Journey .

Apparently you missed that SMB played Christmas Jam and Steve and Warren are buds. Did you know that Les Paul taught Steve how to play guitar and Les was Steve's godfather? And he played Monterrey Pop in 1967?

Maybe they're banking on his surname drawing more people in earlier in the week . I mean banking in a literal context . More people equates to more money . Just a guess ...

Sorry to be a little abrasive , but I don't base my taste in music on who my heroes ( Haynes ) like or dislike . He's pals with Kid Rock too ... You want him there ?

Pete Rose Jr. is a lousy baseball player , his daddy is a hall of famer in exile . Dickey Betts' family were front porch pickers , all of us here know how he turned out .

I'm just anticipating some higher caliber acts on the bill , that's all . Go see the Space Cowboy , and have a great time . I'll hang out at camp with Sam Adams and my other buddies while he's on .

So by going to 3 days do you think they will cram the schedule and have overlaps like the last few years, or will they spread out the bands a little more?

If you look back at the Thursday schedule from last year they only used the Mushroom stage and it was back to back performers from Devon's 3PM opening set til diaper man closed it that night.........

Sang, my guess is, yes, we'll still have to catch half sets and run like mad between stages, effectively ruining whatever buzz we may have going on at the time.

As for Devon's slot, Wednesday isn't even officially a festival day. It may be a pre-show kick off party, and it may afford him some hang time at the festy, but I still say he deserves a better slot. He's scheduled for Wednesday April 13 from 12:00 to 3:00PM from what I gather, and doesn't have another show until Saturday the 16th in Belleville, IL. He SHOULD have gotten at least a Thursday slot on the Peach Stage. Hell, if I'm lucky, I'll arrive around noon or 1PM Wednesday to set up the camper and camp site. I may have to pull in, park and set it up after Devon's show.

Sure wish Warren was playing with Mule however rather than the new line up..........

Mule has been a great long standing WANEE tradition !!!

Last year it was on Thur and I just missed him so I planned on coming in on Wed. If his set is at Noon I will most likely miss most if not all of his show once again. My flight lands at Noon I think! Sheesh!

I've seen and heard front porch pickers who can outplay 90% of the rockers out there, if truth be told. E-A-S-I-L-Y! Hell, Warren will tell you that.

As for Steve Miller, I've heard nothing but good about his recent gigs.

I too would like to know what the line-up will be before laying down over 300 smackers.

That is kinda weird them putting Devon on for Wednesday night.

Guess I will hold out as long as possible for my tickets.

Still have not reserved a place to camp.
Hope I get an email soon concerning that matter.
