I was wondering again why the ABB doesn't play Atlanta anymore. Is there no promoter or
venue interested?Does the bands management ever give a reason why the can play multiple shows in the NE USA and not ATL? I really would like to see them again before they hang it up but spending $2000 to travel to NY for a concert would not be wise even if I had the time.
Family concerns prevent me from doing Wanee. I am prepared to buy 4 tix today for Allmans at FOX or another suitable venue.Since I am dreaming please make it an" evening with".
And while i'm wondering, why not Europe? If Gregg, Warren and Derek can tour Europe
and Butch lives in France then why not? California I feel your pain as well.

When you find out please report back!

Someone told me that the Fox has just been booked solid for the last several years. I don't know if they're awaiting a vacant date there or not. Is the rent at Phillips too high?

We sure did enjoy our two shows here in Birmingham last year! Believe me when I say that the Allman Brother's Band is always welcome in Birmingham-a-lama! I hope they return real soon!

If it means them playing the Lakewood , I'd just a soon stay home . The venue's alright , but the area surrounding it ain't . I've not been to any Macon shows , but I'll take those in lieu of a hike through south Atlanta .... an hour and-a-half less driving from Moultrie , Ga. too .

Hey, it's a new year and hope springs eternal! 09 was some scheduling SNAFU and '10 was a limited touring year. We got Macon though, which I was very happy about since it had been 19 yrs for them.

I do not think the Fox schedule has been an issue on the lack of ABB visits. I'm sure the Fox would be glad to host the ABB, as would Chastain, Verizon in Alpharetta or a number of other places. No arenas please!

Lakewood is fine, even if the neighborhood is sketchy. 1 mile on Lakewood Freeway from the interstate and you're basically in. I've seen dozens of shows there, and never had anything approaching a problem. Verizon's very nice shed would likely get the show instead anyway.

Let's not let Derek and Susan off the hook here. They need to come this yr too! It does not have to be NYE.

I'd pay to see them in the Lakewood parking lot! Seriously.

It would be fantastic to see the ABB play a run of shows in Atlanta & Macon at different times of each year.

They should also revive their Chicago Theater runs of shows they did for a few years. It is an awesome venue located in the middle of the USA for everyone to come to the worlds greatest city for a few days of music and fun.

My buds back in Ohio wonder if they'll ever come back to Cincy, C-town, or Louisville again. I'm beginning to wonder if they'll ever do a Florida run outside of Wanee again.

I saw the bros at Chastain in 08, Birmingham Ala in 09, and now I'm wonderin' if they will do anything in the south other than hit or miss. Either one of those venues would be exceptional. Charlotte and/or Raleigh would be OK. Just wonder why they stick so close in the northeast. We love 'em down south also And the house(s) were full of peace, love, and brothers and sisters....so I know they have support here.

In Atlanta, I've seen the Brothers at Chastain Park (3 times), Lakewood/HiFi Amp (10 times), The Fox (4 nights), MusicMidtown festival (1), Piedmont Park (1) and the Ga Int'l Horse Park (1)

I'd love The Fox or Chastain again...or the Encore Park/Verizon ampitheatre.....or even another vote for the Lakewood parking lot!

I'm spoiled and I'll be seeing two more times at the Spirit of Suwanee Music Park in April....but nothing beats a hometown show...

I guess the one good thing about living in central NY is the fact the Bros play here a lot.

Albany back in November was a nice treat.
