Well, as some of you may realize, Ticketmaster is clearly in league with the ticket broker/scalpers. There seems to have been a glitch in the Ticketmaster online ticket ordering process this morning, and after around 15-20 minutes it was suddenly "cleared up", and one could select seats. "Funny" how the Saturday night shows were sold out in less that 1 second. Anyone want to bet that the scalper/brokers are flush with prime seats for Saturday and Friday night shows?

And how come there was no pre-sale for us Peach members as in previous years?
Could it be because the vultures wanted even MORE seats to be able toscalp.
It's obvious at this point that the real fans can no longer buy tickets through legitimate channels and are funneled through the parasites.

Sadly the bands (Furthur/The Allmans) don't care.

Neal

I have an ideal for a marketing ploy and show of good faith to disgruntled fans..........

pick a random few members of this board and kick down tix for Beacon shows and some free views os shows on Moogis. Just a thought, a couple hundreed buck isn't anything to long time fans losing faith.

Allmans were my first concert in 75 at MSG. I have been going to see them since and try and get a few nights each trip in. Last year made 3 nights up at the United Palace....so looking forward to a return to the Beacon...

Sadly, the Allmans have taken a queue from the rich and famous of the world and have decided it is best to squeeze many fans out to make a buck. This VIP seating to begin....what fan who wants to see them once if not multiple times can afford these tickets even for one night....corporate bigwigs and others who will write them off as business meetings will be sitting in the first 20 wondering if Dickey is still on stage....

Next, you get a pre-sale code and you are squeezed again for bad seats....I have been sitting in Loge for as long as I have gone to the Beacon...best seats I was able to get were off to side and back....I had 2 computers going at the minute these were on sale....got two nights, but not what I was looking for....

Next, we have this crap on Saturday where you cannot get into the system on TM until 11:15+ and everything is gone...wtf is that about....Can't sell the VIP's? Make them reasonable for the real fans and they'd all be gone....I cannot tell you how upsetting this is as I am a diehard as we all are and look forward to the Beacon forever...

I am sure they will add nights and all will be forgiven.....but to dangle carrots over long term fan's noses......just inexusable....

my virgin post.... i am surprised there is not more discussion, outrage, posts or questions about what went down this past saturday...does ticketmaster even put out a statement???

i'm on the plus side of 30 beacon shows and wouldn't change that for the world, but i still curse the very day cablevision took over the theater!! i am hoping against all hope that the brothers take a better look at what has happened here and turn around next year and give the big f u to dolan et al. i will miss the theater and the neighborhood but not that much, considering the prices, and the annual screw job obtaining tickets...a partnership between abb and cablevision is becoming unbearable for me....there has got to be a better way...

I Think It Looks Bad, BUT I Dunno If The ABB Is Behind It Or People At TM
If I Was A Lawyer, I Guess I Would "Subpeona" TMs Records To See If Any Tix Were Sold (And To WHO?) Between 11:00 & 11:15
OR We Could Sign A "Pettition" And Send It To The Better Business Bureau I Guess....
I Got Shut Out Too!
Hoping For Tix From The Board Or I Guess I'll Have To Go To Stubhub Or Ebay.........

Well, I don't see anyone here who has posted about getting decent seats through the general sale, so...

There were no decent seats during the general sale....take it from me I tried.

As well, to all those who suspect scalpers and such, just go on any scalper website...you can get any ticket, in any section on any night.

So if you are telling me that those are just fans who are selling their tickets mere days after purchasing.....then I will shut up...but we all know better.

Absolutely a shame what has happened with this run. I don't think I have ever seen any fan on this site get shut out of a show at the Beacon.

Maybe there's also some "bad karma" backlash from the Dolan brass.
I mean, they screwed up a good thing last year with their stupid circus fiasco and got hurt in the pocketbook for it.
Who knows?
Just not a lot of happy fans right now because of this type of ticket rape and fenagling going on.

Would be nice to hear from someone associated with the AAB on this ticket fiasco !
I too got @##$#$ed after attending many Beacon shows in the past. And to see the all the ticket brokers with tickets and the prices makes me sick !

Combine homer's observations with the response from Ticketmaster in this link...

...and it ain't a pretty picture.

What a shame. Goldman Sacks like for that matter.

The ABB is interested in selling out the available pool of tickets. We represent only a small number of hard-core fans. Just because someone does not post here, does not mean thay are not fans.

But I do believe the ABB does not care much about the small group of people here, since we represent a minority of its "customers". For Saturday, the most likely explanation is that the band held back more tickets for their own use. The fact that they sold tickets up to $750 tells you they are not opposed to scalping, as long as they reap the benefit.

If you don't like it, boycott, walk away, don't go to any shows. As long as the shows sell out, there is no reason to change.

i am used to better news than just that the band is back , but this squeeez play was on all the way from the beginning this time. But i don't care that much. I'm more interested in the fact that i am happy with one amex ticket for 169 i suppose in row l that was there as a leftover in my cruise of options six hours later, and a center loge from the presale 200 romp which i am now glad i kept ( as if i wouldn't) ; each both for the friday night show.Next thing i knew it was $ 225 in row M LC which is bad pricing for half way decent seats, but i guess it paves the road that goes on forever . i will be in for more shows somewhere though and am glad I got some tickets for the Gregg Allman bowery show

I don't even see scalpers with good seats. It's just a sh*t show. Can't believe the Bros would go back to MSG after being sh*t on and made a fool of. Rock n roll! Not...
