You have realized that there is no point putting stock in either gold, silver or whatever. Nothing has value, only what we as a society decide. If it's decide that gold is worthless, then it's worthless.
Remember, salt used to be the prime currency.

Every time I see you've posted something, this verse goes through my head...

I've got troubles of my own, I said
An' you can't help me out
So take your meditations an' your preparations
An' ram it up yer snout
"BUT I GOT A KRISTL BOL!," he said
An' held it to the light
So I snatched it
All away from him
An' I showed him how to do it right
I wrapped a newspaper 'round my head
So I'd look like I was Deep
I said some Mumbo Jumbos then
An' told him he was goin' to sleep
I robbed his rings
An' pocket watch
An' everything else I found
I had that sucker hypnotized
He couldn't even make a sound
I proceeded to tell him his future then
As long as he was hanging around,
I said
"The price of meat has just gone up
An' yer ol' lady has just gone down . . . "
Look here brother,
Who you jivin' with that Cosmik Debris?
(Now is that a real poncho or is that a Sears poncho?)
Don't you know,
You could make more money as a butcher,
So don't you waste your time on me

Thanks, Frank.

I hope you're selling, and not buying, job. If the sh*t ever did hit the fan, what would you do with your silver? Would anyone buy it from you, or take it in trade? Gold and silver only have value in an economy that is doing pretty well. Glen Beck and the others making tons of money off gold and silver right now know that. But if they can scare you into thinking that "this is what you need to be safe," well, then, I think they found another sucker, using one of the oldest lines in the book.

Right now, where I live, dry firewood has more value than silver.

No, no, no, Alan. You simply don't understand, so I'll explain it for you.
The government is one vast conspiracy. They conspire to control every aspect of your life.
They are forcing us into a one world economy, where they control the currency.
They are all the same, those D's and R's, and we are just sheeple being led to the slaughter.
Your communications, your business transactions, your mortgage, your savings, your civil rights, your employment, even your mind is being manipulated by the giant conspiracy known as Amerika.
However, there is one bright spot that the big giant conspiracy has missed. It's gold and silver.
Those they's (or is it those them's) control it all except for metals.
They, them, or those (sometimes it's hard to tell which group is leading the conspiracy to take over the world) missed this one little item that will be your salvation when, as explained by JerrySpongeBob,
the world: A. Ends B. Falls into deflation, or inflation, or reflation. C. Erupts into a Sci-Fi channel script. or D. All of the above.
Now, don't send this information to anyone you know, because they are most likely part of the scheme.
And if they find out, they'll want to control precious metals as well.
However, metals are safe for now and if you hurry, you can get in on the ground floor. Then when it all hits the fan, you'll be set for a life of leisure.
You can trust JellyPeanutButter implicitly. He heard it from Glen Beck. But, don't tell "them".

Well, when you put it like that...

If Glen Beck's crying face wasn't enough to put me off gold, I don't know what it would take.

With all due respect Otie, the buy high sell low method worked for JPB on his home mortgage. Just ask him and he'll explain how this was one of his most brilliant maneuvers in the annals of world finance.

Spot on Silver hits ten year high of $30.00 an ounce

Silver Eagles hit $32.43

Yeah, that decision to sell my home, get out of debt, rescue my equity, and buy silver, hasn't really worked out so good. I just should have stayed put, lost all my equity, be upside down on my loans, and still owed the banks $1000's.

OK then. We have two stories from JPB. Either he sold his house to rescue his equity, or to prevent foreclosure. Depends on which story he is trying to sell at any given time
Which one is it JPB?
I'm guessing that he got an ARM on a house much larger than he could pay for because he was going to flip it. Just like that guy on cable TV. Just like buying gold, buy high and it will work out just like it does for Glen Beck.
I think you should have taken the advice that you give the government. Do nothing and let it all collapse.

I have NEVER stated that I was selling to prevent foreclosure. I could easily still own my home, with my debt, and mortgage, and be paying more for my home than it is worth. No thanks. I would much rather not own the debt and have rescued my equity. Someday, if the market comes back, we will jump back in. This thing hasn't even come close to bottoming out yet, or, are you suggesting now is a good time to buy a home?

Silver is a good $20 off all time highs, I would say silver at $30 an ounce is still a smoking deal. Why fixated so much on Beck? Goldline wants to sell you collector gold and silver, I have always said to buy bullion. I have only doubled my investment at this point, and yes that is in only in a year and half. How much has the dollar lost in value since then? Are you ready for QE3?

Of course I haven't sold anything, so no profit yet. I think when it hits $50 an ounce, I will take some profits. Until then, I will just sit tight.

Just one story. Sold it to rescue my equity and not end upside down and TRAPPED like millions of Amerikans are today. It was a brilliant move for me.

I made a great move to sell when I did. It may not have been a great move for you, because you own your home outright. I did not. How many people sat on the sidelines and did nothing, and now are trapped in their homes. Paying more for them than they are worth, losing their equity, and sometimes finding themselves in foreclosure. I acted, while others sat and did nothing. It was a brilliant move, for me. I wonder, if people were really being honest, would have done what I did, had they known it was going to turn out like this?

I really wonder how many will wish they had a hedge once Bernanke gets done destroying the dollar? Of course, the housing bubble is going to look like a walk in the park compared to the dollar bubble, when that sucker busts, watch out.

Silver up 73 cents today

Now go back to putting your head in the sand.

I'm gonna throw out something, doesn't mean I support it, just wondering.

What would be so bad about a one world currency anyway? The marketplace is already global. Isn't amassed wealth amassed wealth, no matter what you've amassed it in?

Like I said, not supporting it, just wondering.

First off, it is a debt based system. They are going to make money off of every dollar they produce, there is debt, or usuary attatched to it. Much the same way the Federal Reserve works. That is, of course, why they want the one world currency. They stand to make alot of money off of it and then they will have complete control.

Well. Let's just take what the fed is doing right now with quantitative easing. If there were a world currency, we would not have that luxury. It effectively removes our sovereignty. Much in the same way the UN can undermine US sovereignty.

They will tell us "there is no other way" and the people will follow. They will tell us that is best for emerging markets and make it a level playing field.

Be prepared, It is coming. The one world currency. I would assume it will be backed by gold. There will not be much confidence in fiat currencies once the US dollar crashes. I am actually going to be ok if the dollar crashes, others, not so much.

Brag about your investments

Damn, how many times do I have to tell you that it is a hedge Gold and Silver aren't going up, it is the dollar going down. I am just preserving my wealth. While the savers are getting hammered.

people tell you that you are wrong

Let me see?
1. Housing crashing - Nope, not wrong. It isn't over yet either.
2. Gold/Silver as a hedge - Nope, not wrong.
3. Hyperinflation - Wait for it...QE3 Anybody ???
4. Republican vs Democrat - Nope, not wrong. They are one and the same.

Now I forget? What was I wrong about? I am sure you have the list somewhere ?

An excellent group interview on gold tonight on the Charlie Rose Show on PBS. Gold rose to over $1,400 today after what Bernanke said on 60 Minutes last night, and $2,000 is not out of the question.

Sovereignty? What is this, the 1790s?

Balance is kept by military power, as it always has. We may end up broke but our broke a$$ can still level the Earth 50 times over.

If you are ok with the UN and the IMF running the show then that is cool. I prefer to stick to the illusion that our vote counts and that we have a voice, as opposed to having none. I guess we already have the fed that runs our banking system and we don't elect them? So I guess why not have the UN and the IMF making up our laws? I have always said I am just trying to survive it, you can't stop it. The one world currency is coming, it is just a matter of when.

I still wonder what you and the rest of the gold hoarders are going to buy in the event of the societal collapse that you also predict. Are you stocking up on guns too? As soon as it's known that you have gold and food, what's your hedge then?
