For anyone who hasn't seen this, quite possibly the best cartoon ever...I NEED MORE SHOWS!!!

I have actually had this conversation with my wife, which may explain why I am now single

Priceless.

We do all sound like that. My wife rolls her eyes every time I get more shows.

Those 2 shorts are the funniest things ever! I still fall over laughing each time I watch them, and I've watched both of them many many times.

"Dark Star sucks. It's not even music. If you've heard one Dark Star you've heard them all."

Totally hilarious.

Somebody gave me a cd-r with nothing but "darkstar" a few years back. The kids and the wife all crashed about an hour into our trip. priceless for me

Those are CLASSIC!

My wife just last week clicked on the "GD SBDs" folder in the My Documents on our home PC on accident and of course saw the 130 or so subfolders, sorted by date. A few seconds later she exclaimed "What the f**k is WRONG with you?"

She doesn't get jam-based music at all. "No song should last longer than 5 minutes. EVER."

LOL!!! If I ever get married, I'm going to have to hide my hard drive from my wife, so she doesn't delete that stuff. Perhaps I can simply protect the files so they can't be moved or deleted?

She'll never delete it, she'll just give me endless amounts of s**t about it. I get her back, especially on road trips. "You be nice to me honey, or I'll put Mountain Jam on."

Mt Jam is in the top 5 of greatest driving songs. But I do understand why some people dont like this style of music

You should never hide your hard drive from your wife! Easy for me to say - my hubby doesn't even know how to start the computer.

Could be a serious risk. Imagine someone not "in the know" opening a folder and seeing the following:

abb_beacon_03162009_joetaper
abb_beacon_03172009_joetaper
abb_beacon_03182009_joetaper

etc., etc. . . .

"I thought they were multiple copies of the same thing!"

I realized that disease a few years ago. Really liked the 90-97 band and acquired everything I could back then, trading and begging. I finally had so many shows of ABB, all years, I never played them. So a couple years ago, I made myself listen to all I had, and only kept the A grade or better sound ones. I threw out two thirds of what I had that were B grade sound or worse.... can't tell you how many shows I had with great sound and crummy (muddy) vocals. So now I can grab an old show at random, and know it will sound great. So now I actually play them. What I saw in myself is it becomes like collecting baseball cards and the collection overpowers the enjoying them. Same thing with instant lives, not to be sacreligious. I had 25 or so and really, they all sounded the same pretty much, to be honest. It was silly buying them. Just my now toned down opinion. The other thing is I am so out of touch with all the trading "rules" I wouldn't dare try. I can say, except for any potential new official vintage releases, I am good on what I have.

Copy that, for sure. I made my own compilation of 99-2003 aud & IL totalling 7 discs. Put one set in a traveling CD case for rental car entertainment. Now most rentals have Sirius/XM and I get jumping around on those stations. I need a couple of snowy nights to put together a 04-11 compilation set. Labor of love. I did do a Liz cd with my 5 favorite versions - my oldest daughter (24) thought the player was on repeat while driving up skiing last spring. Obviously, not a seasoned listener......

that's a lot to pay for a hard drive. I just got a drive for the MacPro for $37

get your drives now, with the flooding in Indonesia of hitachi's drive manufactoring plant prices are going up next quarter.
