I figure he agreed to talk to Matt Lauer because they're both on the same level intellectually.

Never considered Matt Lauer a reporter, more of a talk show host.

I watched it. It was actually pretty interesting. I was glad to see him admit mistakes in the handling of Katrina.

I'm still burning up about him saying that his lowest moment was when Kanye called him a racist. What a goddamn coward. Own up to your failures. There are literally thousands of Americans and tens of thousands of civilians in Iraq who perished as a direct result of this man's tragic actions, and he's still crying about that?

I will say though, if my Mother kept my stillborn fetus brother in a jar to display for purposes of persuasion against abortion, it would probably mess me up too.

I get physically ill if I even hear his voice. I would simply turn off the TV or radio anytime he came on after about 1/2 way through his first term. When he was elected the first time i said ok....he's my president even if I didn't vote for him....but when the country was twisted enough to think he was the right guy the second time I was mind boggled at the idea of 4 more years of his policies

That about sums up my opinion of him.

I just read some articles about the miscarried fetus and I have to say....that woman is every bit as twisted as I've always suspected. What a horrible display of disrespect for that baby.

It never ceases to amaze me how much pure venom the lefties here (and in general) can inject into the grudges they carefully nurture. Talk about twisted, nasty, and just plain mean spirited....

One non-Whipping-Post example: I heard a lefty at work (patron, not employee) wish SARS on President Bush while her grade-school aged daughter was within hearing. Delightfully pathetic. And what a thing to teach the young lady.

And these examples barely scratch the surface. I may not be perfect (insert sarcastic remark here), but I thank God he delivered me from the liberalism I used to embrace.

He admitted during the interview that there were no WMD but does not regret the decision to go to war one bit.

How positively Christ-like, huh, Bill?

Yeah, the right never says anything bad about anybody.

Now that he's delivered you from liberalism, you can ask him to deliver you from sanctimoniousness.

Yeah, they should just go on the floor of the Senate and tell their colleagues to fvck off. Much kinder and gentler approach. So Christ-like.

Please reference the Nancy Pelosi thread on how to be a good Christian.

Christ did tell the tax collectors in the Temple to fvck off, so there is some precedent!!

The three responses demonstrate the anti-Christian, anti-God sentiments that typify liberals (not all, but a substantial number).

I didn't mention Christ, but that doesn't stop the snipes -- S.O.P. for lefties.

It isn't sanctimonious to say that I'm better off than I was, and that I thank God. He's done a number of things in my life that I couldn't have managed on my own. Take it or leave it, but that's a matter of fact, not opinion.

As far as sanctimoniousness goes, I see so much of it in the anti-Bush rhetoric here that a number of folks here self-define it.

I'm not anti-Christ. I think he was a very cool guy. He probably wouldn't be down with your blazing hypocrisy though. Nor would he be cool with the venom on either side of the aisle.

It's like reffing a sporting event. You gotta call it both ways. You're just not objective enough to do that.

The question remains...when did he possess this knowledge? Before the invasion, or after?

After. Everybody believed there were weapons there. All the world's intelligence agencies believed it was there. Nobody stood up and said he doesn't have WMD's. The opponents of the war said let the sanctions work. And it kind of makes sense because Hussein apparently created a massive subterfuge.

I'm anti-Christian and anti-God? How do you know that?

You most certainly did bring your Christianity into it. You invoked some kind of divine intervention that delivered you from liberalism in defense of a man that brought war and death to millions of people with no regrets whatsoever. When Bush meets his Maker he's going to have a lot more to answer for than anyone who posted comments on a message board.

So then, Bush himself was wrong in last night's interview?

Bush said in the interview that he knew before that there were no WMD's?

In a perfect world, where politicians don't lie to cover their a$$es, yes, I'd like to believe that is the case. It just boggles my mind that with all the technology our intelligence has, they come out misinformed or jump to incorrect conclusions regarding this. I can't go out in the backyard to take a leak without the knowledge that a spy satellite can see me doing this from space. And, with all the operatives we probably had in strategic locations over there...we're still misinformed?

Intelligence is not as good as you seem to think it is.
