Okay, the years not over yet and there will probably be a few big premieres around Christmas but for me the favorite was:

"Machete"

Yep, i know.....definitly no Academy Award material but i had the most fun watching it.
I'm a big Robert Rodriguez fan and after the spoof Grindhouse trailer for "Machete" i was really anticipating the release of the actual movie. Although i found the finale a bit dissappointing the movie itself lived up to my expactations.

I guess the second favorite is from that same category:

"Kick Ass"

I guess Danny Trejo's "Machete" character and Hit Girl from "Kick Ass" are my favorite movie characters of 2010 as well.

What's yours?

Don't know if it's a 2010 movie, but best one that I've seen this year was Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. Intelligent film making that made you work things out yourself and not full of meaningless chases and explosions.

Think that one was 2009; the sequel was great too (think that was 2010)

The third film is due out soon.

I can't wait to see how Hollywood f**s up their version of Dragon Tatoo

In Europe the 3rd movie of that fantastic trilogy was released on DVD a few weeks ago.
There's also a nice 6DVD boxset of all 3 lengthy movies. David Fincher is doing the Hollywood remakes which is a positive turn of events but still i think it will be tough to beat the originals.

Even though the Blind Side came out in Nov. 2009 , I didn't see it until 2010. Awesome flick.

I liked Shutter Island. Also watched a 2010 movie yesterday that I thought was good - Winter's Bone.

I think this may have come out in 2009 since it was a big part in last Oscar's but you are right - awesome movie!

me,too. Frightening film; and by the film's end you just feel an overwhelming sadness. Fantastic soundtrack too. A masterpiece, or very close to being one. Especially by today's standards( a lot of junk out there). Not sure if I can ever watch it again, though. It was too hard to shake off the first time.

I don't go to the movies very often, so there are a few films I really wanted to see that I missed. Inception, for instance.

Another vote for "Inception", the best thinking-man's-movie in a long time.
