Saw/heard this band for the first time on PBS recently and just had to catch Luther Dickerson after he sounded so FIERCE!!! with them.I'll probably be wearing my Dickey shirt so please say hello if you see me ( I love to talk music when the music isn't playing)
I'm going to 4 out of the 5 shows I love Luther's slide with them so much. Will miss the 5th show to see Leo Kotke and the incredible Harry Manx in Newark on Friday night. So very grateful for such a rich musical week.

I'll be there. Huge Luther fan also. Been going to these guys shows a whole bunch since Luther joined. Just got home from the Philly show, going Sunday and next Saturday. Saw them in Red Bank and 2 Burlington shows last week. The 2 set shows are really good. You get 3 whole hours of music. Luther plays some pedal steel kind of thing on a couple songs. They have not been varying their set list as much as a couple years ago, but with multiple shows in one spot that could change. Love it when Luther and Rich trade leads and then come together. My girlfriend commented the boys are playing nice together. Looking forward to the shows. Who knows what an extended hiatis means. The upside is that the North Mississippi Allstars should be doing more shows.

I believe the 11/22 Roseland show has the Mississippi Alstar Duo which means without their bass player? Should also be a great show. The last time I saw the brothers was at the jammies and it was a great night.I wouls expect that Jr. Mack ,Dick Griffin and some other NYC artists will come to support.I would dig hearing our resident growler David Johansen do just one song with the boys
My husband is staying home for the Crowes, if you and your lady see a woman with
waist-length braids pass you by please say hello,
peach on!
