Hey there sweet family,

It is with great peach that we announce:

ANOTHER ONE FOR WOODY

November 22, 2010 • Roseland Ballroom • NYC

On September 21, 2000, following the passing of Allen Woody, a founding member of Gov’t Mule and longtime Allman Brothers Band bass player, many of his friends and musical heroes came together to celebrate his life at a historic concert at Roseland Ballroom in New York City. “One For Woody” was a landmark event that lives on as a cherished memory for all those who were in attendance.

On November 22, 2010 at Roseland, “Another One For Woody” will feature sets by The Allman Brothers Band, Gov’t Mule and The North Mississippi Allstars Duo (Luther and Cody Dickinson) along with many special guests who were touched by Allen’s friendship, music and memory. Like the original concert, “Another One For Woody” all net proceeds will go to a cause near to Allen’s heart. This 10th Anniversary event will raise money for musical education in schools.

At least I won't be disappointed about not getting tickets. I'll be in Belize that week.

I'm pretty sure Roseland holds between 4000 and 5000. Either way these tickets will be extremely hard to score. I sure am gonna give it a try!

Very cool. Luther on the scene makes it even better, can't think of 3 finer guitarist right now (maybe Jimmy Herring and Jackie P can make it and we can bump the number to 5).

Hope Woody's daughter is on the receiving end of some of the funds (and Allen's widow...were they still married when he passed?).

Now that I know about it I dread the thought of being shut out. Hopefully everyone that wants to go will be able to.

I'd love to go !
Problem is that it is on a Monday night and I am saving my holidays for the Christmas season.
Too bad because i would've planned my holidays better to facilitate making this show if I would've known about it sooner.

It will be standing GA Doug and it will be packed like sardines. I couldn't believe how many people they stuffed in that place for some of the shows I've seen there.

I bet that is one of the reasons why it's at Roseland instead of the Beacon. I bet everyone who wants a ticket will get one.
