Since there's a forum about Clapton's new album, I thought I'd mention a few other new releases that I like:

The Doobie Brothers - World Gone Crazy
Los Lonely Boys - Keep On Giving
Zac Brown Band - You Get What You Give
Accept - Blood From The Heat

has anyone heard these albums? If so, what do you think?

Gotta love the Los Lonely Boys!!! When you see them live, if you have'nt done so already. You'll get tingles up and down your spine when you see Henry Garza play that guitar...He got some moves that remind you of SRV that make you smile ear to ear.

Kenny Wayne Shepherd - Live! In Chicago

Fantastic album featuring some blues legends: Hubert Sumlin, Willie "Big Eyes" Smith & others

Black Country Communion with Joe Bonamassa & Glenn Hughes is my favorite new CD so far this year. It gets better with each listen.

Walter trout - Common Ground
Johnny Winter And - Live at the Fillmore East 10/3/70

I also did not realize that Los Lonely Boys had a new one out - will definitely be checking into that!

If anybody is into country Jamey Johnsons new cd is incredible.
Jamey is the only thing keeping country music hanging from that tiny thread it has left.

I just read a great introduction article about Jamey in this month's issue of Spin magazine. Based on that I reserved copies of That Lonesome Song and the new one from the local library. I WILL be checking him out...

As a long time fan of The True Masters (Hank Sr, Cash, Jones, Willie, Jennings, et al) hearing most of the soul less, vapid mess that is being spewed from Nashville right now truly does leave a "tear in my beer".

Clueless and hopeless...

Used to love Shooter, however his new album Black Ribbons is far from a country album... doesnt really even have one country song on it.
Hank Williams III is a joke compared to his father and grandfather. Its like country/metal

Jamey Johnson is straight country, his new cd is two discs all twang and the truth. His pedal steel guitar player just glows throughout the whole album.

Check out The Randy Rogers Band. I first saw them a few years ago when they opened for Shooter Jennings. They were better. They have since gone on to headlining clubs and opening for larger country acts like Brad Paisley and Dierks Bentley.

Definitely a country sound but certainly not twangy and they can rock out. Good live band. I saw them again last night here in Chicago and they are playing Farm Aid today in Milwaukee.

Great bunch of guys. Their latest album is called "Burning The Day". Check it out.

Really digging the new Doobies release. It sounds exactly like them in the same way "Back Where It All Begins" had that distinctive ABB feel.

This is an amazing album that will do both Hughes' and Bonamassa's reputation on the world stage a whole lot of good.
