Why in the world would he want to leave this place for France!
Click on the star on the right, the 6th one up from the bottom or 6th one down from the top, his name will pop and you can click it for closer view. Nice place, close to the water, he worked hard for this, he earned it.

I foresee bad comments ahead!

Even if this is public record, posting it is probably a bad idea. Too many weirdos out there.

I wonder if anyone has been caught nude sunbathing or skinny dipping when these satellite photos were taken. I took a look at my house, and I don't even recognize some of the cars in the driveway.

If you have kids, better ask them what they were doing that day. Otherwise ask the wife.

I love looking at these kind of maps. I have seen my car parked out front, and I can see the roof over the room I am sitting in right now.

(The peach sticker was not visible on my car - I just put it on today!)

I have no idea when the pics were taken since I've lived here 8 years and had the same car all that time.

Here in Winter Haven they took these photos somewhere in between Aug 07 and July 08. I can look up the depot where I worked out of. I had just bought a truck and it's sitting there in the lot.

Looks like Butch lives 3 blocks from Jimmy Buffett. I wonder whose neighbors complain about loud music the most?

You can see he lives very humbly. The interior furnishings are nice but not over the top, and even in Palm Beach your neighbors are as close as they are in tract housing for the most part. Sure the homes are larger and more palatial but you're probably still dealing with traffic if you are driving around. If you want a nice compound, like Dmitri Rybolovlev has, that will cost you significantly more. $3 mil doesn't even get you a cottage directly on the beach. With the politics going on in this country, it may be a very wise thing to have a place outside this country, France has beautiful countryside, so does Italy and Spain and other places also. When you look at quality of life, climate change, even hurricane possibilities (one good one and the Atlantic side of Florida can be gone), it makes more sense to be inland. Besides you can get an apt. in Cannes for the summers. I found very reasonable rentals (no luxury) example:

http://www.cannesstudio.com/

People in Europe and other places live more simply than here. Yes there is luxury (and a lot of it in Cannes too), but for the most part they are not on a star trip.

You make it sound like Europeans don't have running water and drive about on a horse and cart.We even have Starbucks and broadband.

Maybe Jimmy Buffett, who lives just south of Butch "parties" a bit to much for Butch's taste.
