It was a great show. The setlist was almost all DTB material (or at least, material famously covered by DTB) and it was a trip to hear Oteil & JJ's interpretation of the songs. Susan guested on "That Did It" which went over incredibly well with the crowd, as usual. It was also a treat to see "Stand Back" resurface, hopefully that gem finds its way into the DTSTB rotation in time.

At some point mid-show Pino Palladino & Herbie Hancock showed up to HOB, which was pretty damn cool. Herbie stood in the back, and not a soul bothered him, nor did his ear-to-ear grin ever fade as he watched Derek play. That was a very cool moment. Sort of reminiscent of Duane looking down to see Clapton watching him and freezing up.

Here's the setlist, taken from DerekAndSusan.net (notes aren't mine but I left them in since they are definitely apt). I don't remember them playing Nobody's Free but that certainly doesn't mean it wasn't played. I have great video from the show and I'm trying to find a video site that will let me upload "Blind Crippled & Crazy" in its 17+ minutes of glory (featuring Oteil bass & scat solo and JJ drum solo). Stay tuned...
