SYSTEM MAINTENANCE

We will be down for several hours tonight for system maintenance. Will start about 11PM ET and should last about 4 hours.

Thanks for your patience.

For those who can't stand to wait a few hours -- try www.allmanbrothersband.org around 11:30, maybe a bit earlier, ET. That DNS is already updated to the new server. The allmanbrothersband.com DNS will be updated sometime over night, depending on where your ISP sits in the DNS food chain...

Late last night (actually early this morning, like around 3), the site wouldn't let me post a response or use the quote feature to respond. It just took me to a "can not display web page". But that now seems fixed.

However, I do see some weirdness that wasn't there before in regard to sig lines. Some are being affected by a strange sizing anomaly. Seems to occur on second, third, and more posts to a page by the same person. The first instance seems right, but following ones are stretching or shrinking the size of certain elements in a sig. Weird.

Yeah, I just noticed.

Seems that on some pages it looks ok when it was posted pre-maintenance fix. On others, its shrunk. I'm not the only one who has had their sig affected in a similar manner. Oh well, just something new to figure out.

Use the image size string on the faq page to set the size of your sig picture...

Couldn't post the BBcode string, because, well, it's BBcode!

Yup, I'm aware of the sig issue. Has to do with a difference between PHP 4 and 5. We were overdue to upgrade to the latest versions of the database and language systems on this server, and there are a few incompatibilities that have to be worked out. Which they will be!

Best,
Rowland

Hello Rowland,

First off, thanks for the excellent work you and your admins are doing in keeping the site properly maintained and civil.

Much appreciated.

But, it looks like there is a problem on the site where your text is no longer doing a break for paragraphs or for designated breaks for lines of test. One look at any of the vine listings should demonstate what I mean. Or here's hoping it's not my PC...

Thanks !
