I live near DC and can probably only make one ABB show this fall and need to decide if I should try for the Tower, AC or do you think they may do a show closer to DC??

Anyone have any insight? Guesses, etc? I'm hoping they do a show at the Warner in DC...

Thanks,

I have a friend who works in the biz and he swears the band is going to be playing the Fox Theater in Oakland. If it turns out to be true, you heard it here first!

As I posted in the "ABB 2010 Fall Georgia Dates" thread:

Lana posted on the guestbook yesterday, "...to the best of my knowledge the tour dates this Fall will be concentrated in the NE."

I'd go ahead and buy your tickets.

If you are a weekend warrior I'd be surprised if you get a closer Saturday night show than AC.

seems like they are hitting the venues that usually got summer shows. PA/NJ, MA.

I'd expect an upstate NY or CT show in the 4-5 days between AC & Boston night 1. definitely don't expect to see a show added before the Tower or after Boston.

my $0.02

True. But I would guess nobody involved in band might have thought Gregg would be up for touring/performing so soon after having a liver transplant procedure. If I was in the NE vicinity I would be purchasing tickets for one of the shows that have been announced. Just in case.

I hope they take it easy with the schedule and give Gregg takes times to fully recover.

I think any more shows will be NE. Maybe Virginia.

But I bought tickets to one of the Boston shows!
If need be, I can wait if it means Gregg's health. That has to come first.

glad to see them touring, but could really care less where else they go unless it's the Fox or somewhere out west. Both are doubtful so I'm just waiting to NYC in March. Bring back the Beacon!

It's your lucky day...see the new tour dates on the home page:

12 (Fri) - DAR CONSTITUTION HALL Washington, District of Columbia - TIX ON SALE: Friday, September 17 at 10:00 AM

I thought DC was part of the mid Atlantic, so disregard my earlier post. Maybe Atlanta is part of the North East too?

They got you!

Their tatic of announcing one city a week works again!

I'm just kidding. I hope you can unload your tickets. With it being sold out and you selling at face value hopefully you won't have any problems. Put them up on Stub Hub, Craigslist, and/or Ebay. Good luck.

after last year's cluster downsouth, i'm not holding my breath...

if they don't play ATL this year and then play only 3 days at the Fox next spring or somesuch, i think i'll still be wondering wtf'nH is going on with the booking agent for this SOUTHERN band...

I'd LOVE an Atlanta show but it's really hard to feel sorry for us here. They did play this year in Macon, only 90 miles away. And they've played Atlanta 29 times since 1989. Their annual festival is a car ride away to boot.

Looks like DC is getting a show at Constitution Hall. Should "sell out" fairly quickly.

How many times have they played in NY since Oct of '08 (the last time they played Atlanta)?

"Their annual festival is a car ride away to boot."

I go every year but it is a 4 hour ride. How many time have they played within a 4 hour ride of NY since Oct of '08?

I feel sorry for us, I clearly feel we deserve some of the love that NY and the North East receive.

"They did play this year in Macon, only 90 miles away."

Again I was there, but as I have said before Macon ain't Atlanta. Heck people in NY complained about going from traveling to the Beacon to having to travel to the United Palace. They didn't even have to drive 90 miles or pay for hotel rooms.
