anyone have a dog named Dog?

if so, do you have more than one dog named Dog?

it's not too bad a name for a dog. But only if you have one dog.

I really hate hearing people call each other "Dog", though "Bro" isn't much better.

Dude is allright.

how about a dog named Dude. that' not bad.

anyway, just watching a John Wayne movie.

and yes, his dog is named Dog in this movie.

that's right dude.

When I was living in Texas, I was running a couple of framing crews for a guy, and we had an ad in the paper to hire some men. (Remember those days?) I had a guy call me about hiring him and his buddy. I told them to come on out. He said his name was Floyd Finnicum, and his partner was Timmy Barrett.

The next day when I got to work, my boss was already there, and introduced me to 2 guys he'd just hired, Sonny and Dog. That's right, the guy's biker nickname was Dog. Later on in the day I mentioned that I had a couple of fellows coming out, but guessed they changed their minds. Said their names were Floyd and Timmy. That's when one piped up and said, "That's us."

I liked both of them, and eventually bought a truck from Floyd (Sonny) because of the 351 Cleveland under the hood, but I never got used to calling Timmy "Dog." He was a tough one, though. He shot a nail into his hand the first day on the job, jerked it out with some pliers, and kept on working.

Also while we lived in Texas we got two kittens, and we let our son name them. He was 4 or 5, and he came up with two very descriptive names for the cats, Bite and Scratch. The reasons were obvious to him.

No, but one of my best friends used to have two dogs named "Big Dog" and "Little Dog". Big Dog, he was pretty big, and Little Dog, well, she was smaller than Big Dog.

Hum, dog names, one thing comes to mind...

A Red Peters song "The Ballad Of A Dog Named Stains".. A wee bit too explicit lyrics to mention here, but funny a heck..

for those of you who like to use your dog's name as their password to online banking.

you might not want to name your dog Dog.

maybe something like "er34_tt?//" might be better.
