Will the ABB be playin any dates on this fall tour in Macon or Atlanta?

The 1 show they played on 4-23-10 was a great success,They should go back or an extended run at the Macon City Auditorium in Nov or Dec.

How about a 3 night stand to end the year in Macon on Dec 29,30,31?

How about getting a petition started for more Macon shows every year?

How about playing in Jacksonville,Macon,& Atlanta?

They could play 2 or 3 shows in each city in a theater and sell out every show in minutes

It is just an easy call to play Macon now every year. The Big House has opened and by playing in Macon it would help bring lots of money into the city at hotels, restuarants, and other buisness's in Macon too.

It is just like the Grateful Dead playin all these years in the bay area at all the great venues that are out there, and people traveling there to see them play.

******NEW YEAR'S RUN ANNOUNCED******
We are pleased to announce that Gov't Mule will be returning to New York City's Beacon Theatre for two New Years Eve shows on December 30th and 31st. As is the custom, the 31st will be a 3 set show with a ton of surprises. VIP Packages for The Beacon shows will be available and, once again, include access to watch soundcheck on 12/30. While initially conceived last year as a mini-set for VIPs, the band elected to offer attendees something far more unique..a window into their creative process while they worked up a brand new cover, Woodstock, they would debut later that night. For info on the VIP Packages and to purchase them starting next Wednesday August 18th at Noon Eastern click here.

I wonder why the ABB are not announce all te dates of this latest tour/ It seem weird to announce 3 in Boston & 1 in Phill with days apart.

How about annoucing the rest of this tour with all the dates this week so us ABB fans can make plans to see some of these shows if we want?

Lana posted on the guestbook yesterday, "...to the best of my knowledge the tour dates this Fall will be concentrated in the NE."

Great. Because the Allmans never play multi night, "Evening With" shows, in intimate theaters in an area that is easily accesible to those in the North East?!

When the heck did Atlanta become the land of the lepers?! Playing in Macon isn't the same as playing in Atlanta. Macon was fun, I enjoyed it. That said it was no more special than when they play Atlanta, plus I got to pay extra for travel and for a room. Atlanta is a significant part of the Allman's history and is a larger market with a lot bigger fan base for the band. Atlanta loves the heck out of the band and has supported them every year they come. WTF gives? We have been waiting since October of 2008. I realize that I have complained about this numerous times now, but it has been 2 years, I am frustrated and I find it hard to believe.

Agreed. It is super un-fan friendly to string along the dates as the band has the last couples of years. I sat and waited during the 40th anniversary tour for the Atlanta date thinking surely it was coming (Kirk said it was in the works after the fact) and missed out on other concerts. If they would just announce their full tours cut and dry, like other bands, we wouldn't sit around pining for things that aren't going happen and miss out on things that are.

well said ryan. its impossible for me to plan what shows i would like to go to when they release one at a time- a bit arrogant if you ask me. i would love to see a run of 2 or 3 shows and travel the NE, but its not gonna happen if they do not release the rest of the dates (if there are any) soon.

My guess is that its a sh!tty business thing. Superfans might purchase tickets to a show that requires travel. Then, when a local show is announced, they will buy tickets for that show too. They may not have purchased the show that is 5 hours away if they knew previously that one would later be announced in their own backyard. Or maybe I'm just a cynic.

I'm far from a hater of this band. In fact, I'm one of the superfans that I just referred to. BUT, I do think that this band, or whoever steers their business decisions, believes that this band is way more popular than they actually are here in 2010 (examples include: United Palace VIP ticket fiasco, Moogis, this silly trickling of tour dates).

Only the NE huh? I give up.

Perhaps they could at least open the Atlanta pre-Beacon rehearsals up if that's the only time they will play here. I'm serious, what would be the harm in that or playing one lousy show here following the rehearsals?

The entire Moogis and its price blows

Moonalice as a 6 camera setup at every show they play and the broadcast every show for FREE.If a band like Moonalice can do that why can't the ABB do the same exact thing?

The southeast (except for Florida and sometimes Atlanta) in general seems to get passed over for tours in recent years.
