Hey there sweet family,

The Allman Brothers Band are happy to announce their return to the concert road with select shows confirmed in November, marking Gregg Allman’s first live performances since his successful liver transplant surgery in June. The ABB will play an East Coast intimate theatre tour of “Evening With” shows including three nights at Boston’s prestigious Orpheum Theatre November 18, 19 and 20.

The group was forced to cancel a June 26 appearance at Eric Clapton’s “Crossroads” festival, as a liver became available for Allman, who has since been recovering swiftly and is excited about getting back on the road. “I’m ready,” says Gregg, who spent time in the Jacksonville area after the surgery, before returning to his Georgia home where he has been spending time with his children, family and friends. “I’ve been itching to play since I got the operation and am glad to be back. Can’t thank everyone enough for their help and support.”

Tickets for the Orpheum shows go on sale Thursday, August 12 starting at 10am at LiveNation.com, Ticketmaster outlets, and at the Orpheum Theater box office.

Take care and know that you are loved ... and should be looking for a POG tonight! :-)

Lana

I don't know for sure but this announcement says " The ABB will play an East Coast intimate theatre tour of “Evening With” shows ....." so hopefully these 3 won't be the only shows....

How can it be a "tour" with only one city?
Like Tim said in the GB - Atlanta is in the SOUTH-east - but it's still the EAST!

Wow!

Wonderful!!

Unbelievable!!!

I hope Gregg will ease back soft and slow. Build up his endurance. Do some small venues.
Like the Cox Theatre. Or Grant's.
Wonder what his October schedule looks like?

Sweet.

Here in the Baystate, we've got Gov't Mule at Mountain Park in Holyoke (this Sunday) and
now we have these ABB dates in Boston in November. Life couldn't be better.

Does anyone have good info on the Orpheum seating? Are there any seats/areas I should look to avoid when purchasing seats?

Thanks for any info, be safe.

It seems that they will. So when do we get to learn about the other dates?

Great to hear Gregg is itching to play again. Hoping he's wise enough to know (from his doctors) as to what might be too soon.

And the Road Goes On .......

A Chicago show is probably in order right???? As awesome as Crossroads was, there was a huge disappointment in my heart when I heard they weren't going to be there. Getting to see EC rip Layla with the brothers was going to be a twice in a lifetime experience, now its still just one that I didn't get to see.

Also.....I'd prefer Northerly Island......and Clapton. I don't think that's too much to ask.

Well East Coast theater tour doesn't sound like Chicago....

But who knows, maybe Moses Malone is booking the West Coast tour, you know...
Chicago, Kansas City, Dallas, Houston...

Hopefully the brothers will come by NC. I would love to see them in a theatre setting here in NC instead of the amphitheatre in Charlotte. Something a little more up close with better sound. I really enjoy when the Black Crowes play at the Thomas Wolfe auditorium in Asheville. The sound is always good and the show seems more intimate. If the ABB would play there, although it is much smaller and has less tickets, I would be delighted!!
