I really like there cover of this song. Warren does good on the vocals and on the version I just listened to Derek plays a nice guitar throughout. Was this one of Warrens ideas to cover this song?

I couldn't find a great video of the ABB doing this song, but here is a nice video of Warren outside the van:

I love ABB's version of And It Stoned Me. There's a great version on Wanee 2007, 4/13/07. I've seen the video before that TRMGDEAD posted and it's a great one; I assume from that, that Warren had been doing this tune solo before and brought it to ABB.

"And It Stoned Me" and "Into the Mystic" are two of my favorite Van Morrison songs and I love that both Mule and the ABB bring them out every now and then.

I don't mind the ABB doing covers, I just long for the old days when they choose to cover the old time legendary blues artists...and the rest of the songs....they wrote.

I love Van Morrison. But Stoned Me and Mystic are instant bathroom break for me at ABB shows.

''And It Stoned Me'' and ''Into The Mystic'' don't fit the ABB in my opinion. Now when Warren would do them with Phil & Friends I thought they fit perfect....they were a more mellow, laid back, melodic band than the Brothers.

The ABB has WAY, WAY too many songs that have been shelved for various reasons. I wish they would play them instead of all these new covers they've brought out the last few years. All that is too Mule for me. I think Gov't Mule does too many covers as well. Like the ABB, Gov't Mule has too many originals that don't get played enough.

One of the main things i love about the Mule is their playing diff. covers all the time.Sure they don't have to,but,IMO,it's cool that they do.Esp. when they do certain tunes for the City or Area they're in...Memphis went nut's over their doing the Box Top's "The Letter" & a few yr's back,"Mississippi Queen"...In fact,on the way to the show,My bud's & I were on the Ms. Bridge gettin' right for the show & i said how cool would it be if they played "Ms. Queen"...& 4 or 5 tunes into the set they did !...we went Gonzo on that one !!!
