Listening to an advance copy over the weekend and this morning, good stuff, love Little Milton on there, also great version of Helter Skelter! Love the Roxy in Atlanta.

Looking forward to receiving my copy in the mail tomorrow! I found an audience recording online a few weeks back, and it sounds like a killer show. Definitely getting me to discover Woody era Mule shows

This show has without a doubt, the definitive versions of Simple Man and I Shall Be Released. Not to mention, the little Audley Freed trilogy of Helter Skelter, 30 Days in the Hole and End of the Line is also stellar.

The Power of Soul jam w/ Audley is ridiculous as well...truly an unforgettable evening in Mule's history!

Ahh yes! I forgot about the Power of Soul jam! And oh yeah, we can't forget about 21st Century Schizoid Man and Dazed & Confused. Seriously, what a show.

I remember a great crowd and three distinct moods throughout the night. First there was great excitement. Then I thought (and others have agreed who were there) that the Little Milton set went a few songs too long. Not enough variety. And then rejoice as the Mule kicked it into gear again.

Highlights of the evening for me were the countdown through "Dazed and Confused," "Helter Skelter," and "Out of the Rain." The latter was just stunning with the pedal steel in there.

So do I! I was at this show. The early Mule power trio was the best, imo. So glad I was able to catch countless shows from the beginning. Been listening to "Little help from my friends" a LOT lately. I was at that show, too, and think it was the best ever!

For whatever reason in Europe Mullenium will be released at August 30.
Patience is a virtue (they say), but it saves me lot's of shipping costs.

A great day for music. Mule - 3 CDs for $ 16.00 and got the Crowes new one for $ 10.00 and it's 2 CDs Ripped them both to my Ipod for the train home and made an MP3 play disc for the car. Can't wait. The packaging for both sets are cool. Between the low prices and the effort in the art work, it seems the Crowes and the Mule appreciate the people out there who still buy CD's.

Didn't know about the Dr John CD. will look into it. Rumors of this site's demise are exaggeratted. I'm still learning about good music. I just have to sift through some weirdness here and there.
