While we're on the topic of pizza....

what are some of the places that you've been to that have the best pizza?

in the Princeton NJ area: Old World is great. and there are some Trenton Tomato Pie guys that are excellent.

Nomad pizza in Hopewell NJ is said to have some of the best pizza in the world!

how about near you? in NYC near the beacon?

Frankie and Pepper's around the corner from the Beacon is very good, too.

A big tip o' the hat to ABSNJ for that one.

I just drove a Lombardi's pizza back to Pittsburgh from Spring Street, NYC, yesterday. It is that good if you order it when they first open

I'll put the Sicilian pizza from Mama Lucia's in Pittsburgh against any in the country. They have been around since 1974 and it is excellent!

So many pizza's, so little time... Well, 'best' anything is hard to define but I will say it's got thin crust if it's good pizza (IMO). Had some good pizza in NYC at John's in the Village. Locally I would probably go with Centro (Wig & Pen close second) and get it with roasted red peppers ...

North Orange County, California:

Zito's (4 locations around Anaheim, Fullerton & the City Of Orange)

Long Beach, California:

Ecco's Pizza on Bellflower Blvd (also one of the best Antipasto Salads I've ever had)

Pizza Place & Garden Cafe on Broadway Ave (their pasta dishes are better than their pizza, which is saying a helluva lot!!)

HELP! Anybody in the Denver/Golden/Lakewood, Colorado area? I travel there quite often and I need to find a better place than the usual Pizza Hut that I resort to when I'm there; and, really don't have time when I AM there to experiment with local mom&pop places...need a good recommendation.

Paper thin crisp crust and a great sauce. Get a fresh pie if you get one, Chris.

When I was in college there was a delivery chain called PIZZA MOVERS, that was similar to Domino's Pizza. That pizza was so f*in good, I would order it like almost every nite!! The sauce was incredible. Unfortunately the place went out of business in the middle of the night, and I mourned the loss like a family relative died. Pizza Movers still might be around in the Maryland/DC area but unfortunately it's too far to order a pie
In its memory, an original Pizza Movers magnet that I got then (circ. 1988-89) still rests on my home refrigerator!

Honorable mention, a distant second is Toronto's own PIZZA PIZZA. When I went up to Canada a few years ago I practically ate it for lunch every day.

Rocco's in Saint James on Long Island is where I appease my pizza needs. I have about five different pizza parlors in my town but I drive two towns over five miles each way for Rocco's.

'EVERYBODY'S' --- in Atlanta, across from Emory University. Opened in 1971, I have been going there since 1981 when I first discovered the place. Visit the Michael C. Carlos Museum before eating; it IS the best kept secret in Atlanta...mummies...

There once was a place called the ParkBench just a few hundred feet from EVERYBODY'S and I loved their pizza also. Memories of my mondo Aikido days when you would practice until you went outside the dojo to puke. You could eat a pizza and really appreciate the flavors after a real workout.

Grease on cardboard = domimos and papa john's and pizza hut...

I have never been there, but Chicago probably has some of the greatest pizza's.

There was this great pizza place in Panama City, Panama that I recall....Napoli's.

This. Only the original pizzeria regina, the ones in the malls are not nearly as good. Never had domenicos, thx for the tip.

I'll throw in Santarpios also in east Boston, right by Logan airport.

There's a poster over on phishhook who raves about a place on Revere Beach. Can't remember the name, any fellow mass-holes care to chime in?
