The phaonmneal pweor of the hmuan mnid, aoccdrnig to a rscheearch at Cmabrigde Uinervtisy, it dseno't mtaetr in what oerdr the ltteres in a word are, the olny iproamtnt tihng is that the frsit and last ltteer be in the rghit pclae. No problem reading that, although I am dyslexic ( truly ) so maybe that helps in this case...

Great, and obviously very true.
The more effort you make reading what's written, the more difficult it becomes (brain actively rearranging the letters in the correct order).
Just a quick fast read and it's a piece of cake.

This might also explain why you can "more-or-less" interpret/read foreign languages with "some" similarities with your own language.
With Dutch as my native language I get an idea of the essentials from Swedish papers, without any education in the Swedisch language at all.
(Swedish and Dutch are far more different from each other, than e.g. Dutch from German.)

I'm slightly dyslexic so it looks perfectly normal to me

Really? I seem to think it would be the other way around. I can read it just as quickly as reading anything else. And it seems like most other people can do it too.

pretty funny thread.

might be true that only 55 out of 100 can read it.

but only 45 out of 100 can read it when it's not scrambled.
