Elvis Presley and Carl Perkins. My parents took me when I was 2, so it must have been 1956 or 1957. It was in Jacksonville, Florida.

Too funny, Ayla. I never made it on the Uncle Al and Busty Wendy Show but my sister was on there. Uncle Al freaked her out as he had no problem yelling at the kids to get them to do what he wanted on the program. Barqs root beer, and what the hell was the name of the cookies and the dog??

It was 1962 or 63 in Chattanooga, TN. I got to see the entire Carter Family. They put on a great show.

The 'Trans Men' 1963. Skip Rogganbuck was their main guy. We thought they were better than the Beatles.

When I was around 10 or 11 my parents dragged me to see Frank Sinatra at the Arie Crown theatre in Chicago would have been in 1966 or 67. Don't remember all that much about his performance other then he did "My Kind of Town" for the encore, but I do remember his big band had quite a powerful horn section and was very impressive.

I think my first concert was the Cowsills at Memorial Hall in downtown Dayton Ohio in about 1970.

Might have been the Fifth Dimension....

My dad used to get free tickets to all the memorial hall shows. We saw the above as well as Neil Diamond, Bill Cosby, and many others back in junior High......
