Spent the weekend with a friend who works for MSG. According to him 2011 at the Beacon is a done deal.

Note to Jimmy Dolan:
You ruined the Knicks and spent the weekend chasing King James...and he's not coming to N.Y..
You threw the Allman Brothers Band out of the Beacon and leased it to a show called "Schpeel"..how'd that one work out for ya Jimmy?
So I guess the idea of a lock on a months worth of sold out shows in March 2011 doesn't sound so bad eh Jimster?
You Jackwagon Jimmy!!!

Good news! March is still a long way away, but I hope this happens. It would help heal a great imbalance in the Force Sorry, been watching a Star Wars marathon this weekend...

If it does, it will require some pride-swallowing on both sides, but that is a good thing. Builds character, good for the soul, etc. Both the Dolans and the ABB would benefit from bringing the band back to the Beacon, and there is no good reason not to.

Most of all, the fans would get the whole "Beacon experience" that was missing this year. They would be the biggest winners of all if the ABB went back to the Beacon.

And please stop with the insulting obscene gouging special ticket packages!

If you want to keep those prime front orchestra seats out of the hands of the ticket brokers then release them on a drop close to show dates.

Well it is good news, because it looks like they're heading back to familar ground, and that is good all the way around.

However, this being the Dolans, and this being a business deal,
I'd sure stick it to Jimmy for a couple extra points off the rent for the next go round.

And since I'm getting far out here, maybe give that back to the fans.

Sure would teach the Dolans a lesson on taking care of your loyal customers/fans....imho

You didn't even mention the Rangers whom he also ruined.

The only acceptable substitution. I'm ok with it.

Been from England not sure what the deal with Jimmy Dolan? I presume he owns the MSG venues and therefor the Beacon but does he deserve the bad rap he is getting?

He absolutely does.
Spolied little rich kid that has destroyed all the toys his daddy gave him.

Best way I can think to explain it.

And I'm not even a Knick or Ranger fan

I just hope they don't stick it to us with higher prices than what they were. That is the only thing that will keep me away from the Beacon next March!

I dont care what the tickets cost, I dont care what my room at the ole Milburn will cost, I dont care what it takes to get there. All I know is that if the Brothers are coming back to the Beacon, I WILL BE THERE !!!!! It is and will always be the greatest show on earth. Macon was pretty damn good also... But nothing tops the Allman Brothers in March at the Beacon. I've seen them play at a many venues but there is just something magical about seeing em at the Beacon. As long as they keep playing, I will keep going. The road goes on forever...
