As long as Derek is playing I don't care who he plays with.

I like the DT & ST band, but listening to Roadsongs makes me miss DTB...

But I can't be sad because Derek is STILL THE MAN!!

I haven't seen the new band yet, and nothing personal, but I'm a little Susaned out as far as her hanging with the guys. I saw Soul Stew twice and thought it was okay, and I'm tired of seeing her come out with the ABB, as the tempo of the show S L O W S a bit almost every time. Don't get me wrong, I think Susan is good, I just think that she holds Derek back.

missing them now after not thinking it was too big a deal. Road songs sounds great and I really felt the last 2 tours were beyond stellar. They were just starting to pace their shows really well IMO. Another year and record could have really put them over the top.

I love the DTB and agree that they stopped at the top of their game and just as their commercial ball was rolling.

However, I will see Derek and Susan in 2 weeks, and if they are just as good, then no harm done. The Hancock/ Space Captain video sure looks good.

I must say I thought that the new band with Susan would sound like DTB but with Susan singing but after hearing a recording of the Cape Cod show I can see why some people may find the new direction can I say a bit more mellow.Having said that personally I loved it and I do hope that we get a chance to see them live in Europe.

I have only heard the new band recorded. I know they are in their salad days and will continue to evolve and get better. I look forward to seeing them live to get full perspective. I'm sure they will not fail to thrill and get me tummy tapping.

That being said, it doesn't mean that I can't miss the dTb at the same time. I do. When your favorite band takes a break...you miss them. Thrilled that they broke up could not be farther from what I feel about it.

I'm still waiting for them to cover "Can't Get Next To You." Maybe this band will.
