Nice to see Nick reviving the Electric Flag...their 1st LP "Long Time Comin" is the one record that i listen to every day.At least a song or two...have since the day it was released...but,w/o Mike Bloomfield & Buddy Miles it just won't be the same for me.I imagine It'll still be good tho...Nick is also my fav. male vocalist....the guy has soul comin' out of every pore...

it looks like with the flag you've got nick, barry & roy blumenfeld (from the blues project) so there's still a lot of talent there.

hughs comments about gravenites could also be applied to bill champlin - a great, soulful singer imho.

agreed...that's why I still think it'll be good...just not the same for me...I'd go see them...

I saw Sons of Champlin 4 years ago at a festival in Marin County. Good playing and singing, quite a surprise for me. They were excellent, really grooving music, funky and hot, great for dancing.
