Associated contently just got around to publishing this review so i thought I'd do some shameless self promotion since for reviews they only pay based on page hits. Here comes the begging - brace yourselves - please give it a click even if you're not too interested. i liked the disc and highly recommend it if you're considering buying it. Thanks in advance.

I really like it. I think his more mainstream fans won't dig it as much as his past radio friendly stuff but it's a very cool record. Mojo is a very fitting name.

For the most part, I like the new album

could've been trimmed by two or three songs (runs out of gas by the end)
but overall I like it

just got it as a free download with my TP/CSN tickets

It's very groovy. Strong BLues feel.

Mike Campbell is a very tasteful player.

This is very much a "guitar album" in that the songs are dominated by guitars more than most other TP songs, and the tone and sound on each song is different from the rest of the album. It makes it very interesting and enjoyable to listen to this album as the scenery keeps changing as you go along. A great album!

Yes Mike Campbell is. I saw a little sitdown with Petty discussing Mojo and it's post production/mixing and Petty said he told Campbell that he wanted Mojo to be a very "Mike Campbell album" with his guitar being high in the mix because according to Petty, in the past whenever Petty and Campbell would do the final mixing for the albums, Campbell would always make his guitar low in the mix.

I like the album as well. It is nice to hear more of Mike Campbell's playing on it. All the songs are good to me, not a bad track on it. I'm looking forward to seeing the show in Dallas on Sept. 21 with ZZ Top opening!! Maybe they'll jam together at the end of the show.

sorry to bump an old thread but I just downloaded this album via free download with my TP/CSN tickets as spacemonkey did and must say it is a very pleasant suprise. Love Mike Campbell on this- truley dominates the album. Very much looking forward to seeing them do much of this at SPAC next weekend!!!

I've loved Mike Campbell's playing ever since the mid 80's when I discovered him. I was watching TP & HB's Pack Up The Plantation video and was just blown away. I'm still mazed that more people don't know about Petty's too-secret weapon.
