Frazz

Story of a cross-training janitor who writes songs (John Hiatt gets regular mention).

Me too!

In it's heyday from around 1956 until around 1967 NOTHING even approaches the greatness of Peanuts.

Far Side or anything by Larsen, best dog cartoons on the planet. Even have a "my brain is full , can I go now? " coffee cup.

I've never seen a comic strip like "Calvin and Hobbes". The artwork was jaw-dropping, the characters vivid and archetypal, the story lines by turns hilarious, profound, poignant, always illustrative of the human condition. Like Pixar, it appealed to children without pandering to them, and adults without insulting them. This strip was one of the finest examples of popular art I've ever seen. And it was always incredibly entertaining. And I love "Peanuts", "The Far Side", and many others.

The Whippin Post does provide plenty of comic relief.

Don't forget the Wizard Of Id and Crock.
