We played Salt Lake City tonight and Tinsley's Fender Super Reverb Crapped out and quit. We play Littleton Colorado tomorrow night at the Toad Tavern w/Coco Montoya. Does anyone know anyone in the Denver area with a Fender Super Reverb, Fender Twin, Fender The Twin? No solid states, only tube amps. That we might could use? Also, does anyone know who could do a repair on Wed. before our Boulder show? please send any helpful info to
tinsley75@aol.com
We roll out of here at 8:30am heading that way.

I wish I did.... If you were near me, you'd have an amp or two to choose from that is for sure but of course, I am on the east coast.

Good luck!

The guy who use to (or still does?) build the Fender amps for Derek trucks is in the Denver area....goes by the nick name of "Lord Valve".

here's the phone number:

303-778-1156

He's primarily an amp repair, but he might have a loaner.....

I thought of that too, but he is a very busy man..... I guess it never hurts to give him a try though. You're right, he might have a loaner for him to use even if he is too busy to fix it.

right - even his website gives you the heads up that he's sloooow.....,
I'm hoping that there's a loaner out there, if he can't do a quick repair.

I have some helpful info... if you're Tinsley Ellis and you're touring the country and playing shows with the likes of Coco Montoya, you should probably be traveling with a backup amp.

What happens if he breaks a string, you guys got that covered?

Good luck.
WBD, I think the FSR is ONE of Tinsley's stage amps. IIRC, he has a Marshall half stack as well as the FSR. He has at least three guitars he tours with - a Gibson ES-345, a '59 Strat and a Les Paul. He uses different axes and amps to achieve a variety of tonal combinations. In the few shows I've seen TE play, he's never broken a string. AND...they tour out of a van. They have to pack drums, bass rig, TE's rig and still have room for luggage and seating. I bet he wishes he had room for a spare FSR.

BTW for future tours they might consider just letting the bass player go DI -- leave that rig behind so more room for the extra Fender amp.
Yeah, that ought to go over real well......like a fart in church!

Oh, well if that's the case then I wasn't giving the crew enough credit. I assumed from the desperation of posting here that that was THE amp. Poor Tinsley might just have to get by with the only Marshall rig then...

I look forward to meeting you!!!

Call me if you haven't found an amp EO. I pretty certain Smiling Jack can help locate one for the show.

They’re not pretty and they don’t travel with an entourage or in a luxury bus, but what they do bring is kick ass rock and roll that gives me and my wife a lifetime of joy; two hours at a time!

Like many who know this band well have stated, they have no "crew". They ARE the crew. If they play it, they lug it in and out.

It's funnier if you realize I had no idea who EVILPEACH was until after I posted it. Doh.

Sorry EVILPEACH, I was just ball-busting and meant no harm. Kinda like when one of the guys shows up without an instrument cable, I felt obliged. As a fellow musician I'm sure you understand.

As for alanwoods and DanB, you fellows can suck a fart out of my ass.

What class, ball-buster.

Scott, the next time T.E. and band play in your area, I'm sure a personal apology and a handshake would resolve any bad feelings between you and E.O.

Ah, now I get it. Sorry your little friend ran off to Facebook, WT. If my little foot-in-mouth session here is all it takes to set him off, maybe he should quit the internet altogether.

WTF? You really are a dick head.
