Got mine today too!!!

WHEW HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know when I'm gonna get the chance to watch it. It only requires at least 4:30 hours of spare time!!

WOW!!! What a tremendous DVD set. I've been waiting a long time to see some good ole' grateful dead. Yea, the "View from the Vaults" are nice, but they are all from the late 80s/90s. This is the real deal. I can't wait to sit back and melt my brain.

It's a great buy - I'm still on disk1 and I'm loving it!

When you pre-ordered thru the GD site it was $29.95, but it included an extra cd with these tracks:

LIMITED EDITION CD TRACKS:
Easy Wind
Jam>
Black Peter
Playing in the Band
Lazy Lightning>
Supplication
Sugar Magnolia>
Scarlet Begonias>
Fire on the Mountain

I'm guessing this will be in my cd player on the way to work tomorrow!

Ordered mine a couple weeks ago through GD merchandising, via snail mail, so I hope it comes this week. I get the extra disc as well, and ordered a SYF ski hat too. This should be very sweet.

There is also a Winterland CD set available, although I didn't purchase that...yet....I figured I'd let the DVD sink in awhile

I pre-ordered mine through GD merchandising and it arrived Monday along with the bonus CD. Unfortunately I handed the whole package over to my wife without even opening it so she could give it back to me on my birthday in a few weeks. Hey, at least I know that I'm going to get something that I really want!

The 30 minute winterland documentary was quite interesting. Some of the stories reminded me of all the the things I heard about Alpine Valley Dead shows in the late 80's.
Crazy times.
Bill Grahmn sure knew how to put on a party or rock show
I haven't been able to watch the whole DVD yet but what parts I have seen made me smile

I was at a couple shows at Alpine Valley in (I think) the 80's. What stories?

Do you have the Alpine Valley dvd from the 80s? Watched it a couple of weeks ago...great concert but the production value left a little to be desired. From what it sounds like, this new dvd blows it away from both sound and picture....

I think I saw Sang in a couple of the crowd shots during the Alpine Valley dvd....

Yes, I have that DVD (Downhill from Here)

I wasn't at that show, and the 2 times I saw them there I was on the hill watching the twirlers....

Had a great time at Opie's Double Bubble after one of the shows.

Got lost in the fog and couldn't find my way home to Chicago after one of them...

Now there's a visual. Sang hanging with the twirlers. I'll bet he showed them a step or two!
